and arent modern day eritrean people mixed and are diluted africans?
those facial characteristics arent what an african would look like in 5000bc

those facial characteristics are native to Africa

"Another example of the use of a socially constructed typological paradigm is in studies of the Nile Valley populations in which the concept of a biological African is restricted to those with a particular craniometric pattern (called in the past the 'True Negro' though no 'True White' was ever defined). Early Nubians, Egyptians, and even Somalians are viewed essentially as non-Africans, when in fact numerous lines of evidence and an evolutionary model make them a part of African biocultural/biogeographical history. The diversity of 'authentic' Africans is a reality. This diversity prevents biogeographical/biohistorical Africans from clustering into a single unit, no matter the kind of data." (The Persistence of Racial Thinking and the Myth of Racial Divergence, S. O. Y. Keita, Rick A. Kittles, American Anthropologist, New Series, Vol. 99, No. 3 (Sep., 1997), pp. 534-544)

"..presents all tropical Africans with narrower noses and faces as being related to or descended from external, ultimately non-African peoples. However, narrow-faced, narrow-nosed populations have long been resident in Saharo-tropical Africa... and their origin need not be sought elsewhere. These traits are also indigenous. The variability in tropical Africa is expectedly naturally high. Given their longstanding presence, narrow noses and faces cannot be deemed `non-African."(S.O.Y. Keita, "Studies and Comments on Ancient Egyptian Biological Relationships," History in Africa 20 (1993), page 134 )

"The living peoples of the African continent are diverse in facial characteristics, stature, skin color, hair form, genetics, and other characteristics. No one set of characteristics is more African than another. Variability is also found in "sub-Saharan" Africa, to which the word "Africa" is sometimes erroneously restricted. There is a problem with definitions. Sometimes Africa is defined using cultural factors, like language, that exclude developments that clearly arose in Africa. For example, sometimes even the Horn of Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea) is excluded because of geography and language and the fact that some of its peoples have narrow noses and faces.
However, the Horn is at the same latitude as Nigeria, and its languages are African
. The latitude of 15 degree passes through Timbuktu, surely in "sub-Saharan Africa," as well as Khartoum in Sudan; both are north of the Horn. Another false idea is that supra-Saharan and Saharan Africa were peopled after the emergence of "Europeans" or Near Easterners by populations coming from outside Africa. Hence, the ancient Egyptians in some writings have been de-Africanized. These ideas, which limit the definition of Africa and Africans, are rooted in racism and earlier, erroneous "scientific" approaches." (S. Keita, "The Diversity of Indigenous Africans," in Egypt in Africa, Theodore Clenko, Editor (1996), pp. 104-105. )

speaking of white people white washing, there's a movie currently in pre-production about the Gods of Egypt starring Gerard Butler and a few other Anglican and Germanic cacs. So they picked an all white cast to play Egyptian gods. These fakkit ass Hollycacs need to be thought a lesson.
You can also sign a petition here:http://www.change.org/petitions/dan...-gods-of-egypt-from-holding-an-all-white-cast

there goal was 5,000 signatures and they already have over 6,000.:russ:

edit: They're also making a movie called Exodus. Starring Christian Bale as Moses, the cac that played Tom in The Great Gatsby as Ramses (
YNq4nmN.png
), and get this, Sigourney Weaver as Queen Tuya, Ramses mother. They don't give a fukk.:heh:

Hollywood directors don't get funding if they don't use all White cast no matter the movie subject. Most movies don't get greenlit unless you have multiple Hollywood stars, either. Anyways, this movie is going to bomb, so why bother? We need someone like Tyler Perry to keep expanding in the type of movies he shoots or atleast he should invest and other Black director screenplays...

My problem with the petition is that it's going after the filmmaker and not the studio that funds the film. A director can have his "dream cast" all he wants but as soon as a studio demands an all white cast with a big name hollywood star, it's over. Something to consider...

I don't think the petition was aim excessively at the director though. Because I was reading most of the comments in the comment sections and alot of them were ranting more about the powers that be. I think alot of them know that it's the studios and producers who have the most clout when it comes to casting. Well, at least that's my reason for signing it.:ld:

Just signed the petition. So now there's two upcoming movies about Ancient Egypt that feature all-white casts :what: fukking white people. They'd cast Ryan Gosling as Genghis Khan if they could get away with it.

Nikka say this shyt again. I was watching some show on the History channel about ancient structures. They were in chile or Uruguay and looking at these stone structures that were precisely carved and placed together to create these walls. They are hundreds of years old and they are still strong and functional. The cac on there had the audacity to suggest aliens created those walls, because he couldn't believe the little brown people that lived during that time period were smart enough to create those structures. He was all like they would need to have advanced levels of mathematics and geometry to put something like this together.:comeon:

There are some cacs that are even suggesting Aliens build them pyramids.:comeon:

I've seen multiple shows where the alien shyt is mentioned....I really think the issue is when you say "black" in conjuction with a place in africa like egypt people instantly think Akon:manny:...and many people are uncomfortable with that idea of egyptians bcuz its not what they know and frankly the issue with the skin color....a skin color of pitch blackness would somehow dirty the beauty of what egypt has been taught to be,make it a little less classy because its "REAL BLACK".....if you showed people pictures of lightskinned Ethopians who they would consider black in a heartbeat, and said "this is what egyptians looked like"...many would say "hmmm okay I could see that".....its strictly a matter of the darkness imo which makes it even worse really....dark egyptians lookin like Wesley Snipes?I don't think so:childplease:?you talkin insane now:mindblown:.

Then again nikkas can't even recognize the fact that dark skin in tv commercials consistently is being phased out right before they eyes...every other commercial you see now is a mulatto with that curly "natural" tryna sell u something....how we supposed to see the wool gettin pulled over our eyes with some shyt that happened 1000ks of years ago:heh:?

Norfeast groovin…
They never did incest..that was in Europe..Egyptian royalty married their sisters so they could preserve the lineage..but they didnt sleep with them or sleep in the same room with them..

That's how it started, but after awhile this practice took a sexual turn. Hell, Tut himself may have been a product of incest. Tut was then married off to a half sister, each of his would be children were stillborns.

Hm...as some one who is black, I personally do not think that the Egyptians were "black" based on my own observations and research. Perhaps the later dynasties where there was a lot of Nubian influence absorbed by them particularly after the 25th dynasty. But I don't think Ramses II, King Tut etc etc were "black." Egypt geographically and culturally appears to have a stronger proximity and cultural similarity to the Arabian peninsula (farming techniques, art, some gluttal annunciation of language etc) as opposed to other "black" African ethnicities. As far as a appearance goes, I myself personally do not consider brown skinned North Africans with long curly dark hair as being "black" but more so as clear evidence of the gradation of hues in Africa that become lighter as you travel north.

Oddly enough, from what I've seen, African Americans seem like the only group who vehemently believes that ancient egyptians were "black"...and from what I've witnessed, even native Africans themselves don't agree with that.

But hey, if there's one topic that will get black americans riled up, it's this one ...I've seen this topic come up ffor nearly 15 years about a 100 times on message boards and the same responses and the same anger seeps through in each one of them.

It's their movie they can cast whoever it is that they want. If white companies want to cast Leonardo Dicaprio as King Tut, then so be it. It's their choice and their interpretation, and there's nothing that you can do about it.

Stop complaining and start "petitioning" for black entertainers to recreate their own version of history instead backing Madea films and Amos & Andy like sattire films.
