Death Proof should have been the first movie it wasn't a bad movie but Death Proof outside the car chase had a slower buildup and honestly did not use an excellent Kurt Russell to its fullest effect.
I hear this a lot when I talk about this movie with other people but I think the reason Tarantino spent so much time on them in the beginning is for the shock factor when they all get killed off. Only it doesn't really work because it's predictable and everyone sees it comingIt's underrated. My only issues with it is focusing too much time on the group of girls and not enough on the legend Kurt Russell. He is in his bag in this film.
For a double feature…. That movie should’ve been the first movie
Next to Planet Terror, it was trash.
PT was pretty much high octane fukkery from the minute to last.
DP came off kinds perverse and boring up to the last 5-10 minutes then ends like “WTF?”
Nah this gave him mystery for the big plot twistIt's underrated. My only issues with it is focusing too much time on the group of girls and not enough on the legend Kurt Russell. He is in his bag in this film.
I’m not a movie head like that and I don’t know the ins and outs of movies like that nor am I a Tarantino stan but to me this movie always got a bad wrap when in reality it felt like Tarantino doing what he typically does but more in depth to the grid house films he grew up admiring and watching
Film room, what did y’all think? What’s y’all opinion? Talk to me
Death Proof was supposed to be cheesy. Idk what ppl expected from those two movies. They was SUPPOSED to be goofy over the top flicks. Even the trailers they played during the intermission was satire.
Maybe people just didnt enjoy the movie regardless of what it was going for. Its Tarantino at his most average imo. He admitted its his worst effort and said he thought he could make whatever he wanted and it would be a hit.Death Proof was supposed to be cheesy. Idk what ppl expected from those two movies.
