I'm a big fan of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN's Drink Champs Podcast..
I always hear artists praising the War Report album on the Podcast, always giving props to NORE saying it was a classic when it Dropped..
Is this true?
Me being from the South, I never heard much about it
21 in the country and 3 on the rap charts

for underground artists, that was huge.. plus the album was a banger. it was an east coast classic but not some juggernaut country wide

:mjlol:

Yeah nobody remembers Capone and noreaga and a damn near top 20 rap album is a flop.

Internet done ruined you nikkas. I guess nikkas is just coming on the show to lie about shyt. It's not like we was actually alive and can tell you. It's not like we actually from the east coast. It's not like nikkas even heard the word flop or cared about album sales back then.

But yea. It was a flop that the label said, you know that shytty album that sold nothing and nobody cared about..... let's give the worst rapper in the group a solo deal and have him put out another one of his own

I'm from the Bay and I copped War Report on release date.
TONY got video play, I don't remember hearing anything on the radio outside of mix shows.
They got write ups in the Source.
They were up next from QB like others had said.

Don't give me anything,I'll take both. Neither were big deals
Ob4cl flopped
Iron man wasn't shyt, supreme clientele wasn't shyt, all are championed as if they were.
Bone was the biggest group. Wu tang played second fiddle.
Since when are gold and platinum albums considered flops?:heh:

Maybe because I was a kid when War report came out but NOREs Superthug is the only thing I can remember people listening to like that from Nore at least. I remember LA LA but outside of that I cant think of seeing anyone mess with that album. Keep in mind Im from ATL, but Id say this album is just an NY/regional classic.

same...im from Texas...Oh No,Super Thug, and Nothing were knocking down here..but even then that was moreso because local groups or swisha house/ suc would freestyle over the beats. Even I went in on that Oh No beat :russ:....I always saw the war report cover in magazines but never heard it until I was revisiting Nore's catalogue when Drink Champs came out :manny:
