Being that I was on the east coast at the time that's hard for me to say. But I can say there are posters on this forum from the west coast that love those albums
I love reasonable doubt and the infamous. But they were small potatoes compared to what else was going on

uh... I was getting mix tapes with stick you/illegal life in Detroit. It wasn't that underground... A huge album but clearly mobb deep clones. The irony of the way Nore tries to talk down to P.

Reasonable doubt was trash... pure revisionist history no one checkin for it... The infamous was an instant classic not sure what would make you call it small potatoes. Clearly it's not a pop crossover album. There are legends in every genre who don't hit 18 on the charts et alone number one.

The Bronx
Ob4cl was actually a very dominant project in New York City cuz they released in the summertime and ice cream was a big enough record.

Honestly the Junior Mafia singles got more radio play than the Bigge singles

I'll give you Reasonable Doubt but definitely not the Infamous. You named two Wu albums like the Wu wasn't the biggest group at the from 94-97. Only group that can be compared is Bone

Reasonable Doubt was trash?:hhh:

It definitely slipped thru the cracks due to so much heat dropping in 96 but you can go head with that bullshyt. Everybody who heard that album at the time loved it
