that Minny team is in playoff contention, stop it
Their starting center and power forward were both out for that game and they just traded away their starting point guard too. Yeah, Towns has missed a lot of the season but not Gobert and D-Lo. Missing #2, 3, and 4 scorers, #1 and 2 rebounders, and their best defender. And they were playing the Warriors in San Fran.
Dray has no offensive responsibilities. because when they lose, his lack of offensive production is not an issue for you
Draymond is the only player in history who could lead his team in assists for the 8th consecutive year and yet be told he has "no offensive responsibilities". He has more games this season with 12+ assists than with less than 4.
so for you to singularly assign Dray as the savior is unfair to Poole, Looney and Kuminga.
I didn't assign Dray as the savior, KERR assigned him as the savior. The entire article is Kerr and Draymond talking about how moving Draymond into a role shepherding the 2nd unit while still keeping him in the starting lineup had stopped the bleeding for the Warriors and made Poole and Kuminga far more effective. That was before Curry/Wiggins missed massive stretches of the season without the Warriors falling out of the playoff picture, which only doubled down on the narrative.
Let me repeat:
Draymond: +12 on/off
Looney: +9 on/off
Klay: +7 on/off
Donte: +2 on/off
Lamb: -2 on/off
Kuminga: -5 on/off
Poole: -8 on/off
Jerome: -8 on/off
The starters (including Steph and Wiggins) are doing fine. The bench unit sucks ass unless Draymond is there to bring stability. You at least willing to entertain the possibility that Draymond has been central to the Warriors continuing to maintain a winning record with Steph and Wiggins unavailable?
We've heard a hundred coli posters claim that Draymond is ass, that he isn't an NBA player, that he can only succeed on a loaded roster with Steph. That narrative keeps getting undercut by reality.
