This franchise has men of character in its front office. WHile you may have one or two who can be tempted i trust that the stronger voices will remind them who the fukk we are as a franchise.

Everything the Heat ever won came as a result of the 5th pick in the 2003 draft. That's who they are.

The team has been :flabbynsick: since like 2015. You've been cheering for a losing team the past few years. The Heat is too good of an organization to be happy to just barely make the playoffs and that's it

Who we are as a franchise is a team full of role players. Who will struggle just to get an 8th seed. Even Riley knows this. We need higher round picks. No more of this signing undrafted dudes shyt :flabbynsick:
I'm not for signing undrafted dudes either.

There is an old saying in Haiti that says "Sé aprè fête tambou yo lou". Which mean "the drums are only heavy AFTER the party". THe party is over we gotta man up and clean up

NOTHING IS FREE IN LIFE. You mortgage your future when you give away draft picks like we have been the past 10 years. But what the clones fail to understand is we mortgaged the future for a chance at 4 to 5 rings but ended up with 2 and now it's time to pay.
  • We traded 2 1st rounders to CLE for LeBron
  • We traded 2 1st rounders to TOR for Bosh
  • We traded 2 1st rounders to PHO for Dragiç
  • We traded a 1st rounders to Minnesota just so they could take Beasley off our hands
When you keep trading your draft picks like this what you are doing is cutting off the lifeline for fresh, young, cheap talent coming into your roster. That's like the U.S. government closing alluniversities and saying "we'll just hire pros from abroad moving forward". THere comes a time when your old talent is going away and that pipeline of youth that should have been there to replace them is gone. Your talent pool starts to dry up and you're left at the mercy of everyone's rejects free agents and disgruntled stars and you guessed it, undrafted rookies.
We were there in all that white-hot shyt. The cake and the champagne was good. The cigars were sweet. THe p*ssy was :ohlawd: Now we just gotta man up and hope for the best.
And still support the team

Not everyone wins all the time. Very few win even SOMETIMES. But you gotta remain relevant.

Knicks franchise are what? Like 70 years old and won what? Maybe 2 rings. Heat came into the league in 89. Within 6 years we were legitimate ECF contenders on a yearly basis. Not many team can say that throughout their existence. See Hawks, Bucks, Mavs and many others who have had a run here and there but never consistent from one decade to another. Out of the 30 teams in the league we leapfrogged many of the old legacy teams with their "lifelong" fans who have never set foot in the state where said team is located. You know im right. Millions of Lakers fans and Knicks fans have never set foot in NY or CA.

We just have to eat shyt for now until we can rise again. I aint stooping to "trust the process" level, G.

The Heat were "trusting the process" before that even became a thing. How do you think the Heat got Bron and Bosh? :dahell:

Not only that, but getting wade required a 25-57 season the year before.

This treadmill hurts brehs :mjcry:
If we ain't good enough to beat the fukking nets it's time to sell off whatever pieces we can and tank for Zion.
D Wade don't deserve this
We should have been traded Dragic I like him but he can’t not be your star or focus of your offense
Now he is getting hurt:beli:
You knew when Wade made his return we was making the playoff

Winslow, JRich DJJ,Bam and Whiteside let them start and if we win :yeshrug:if we lose:yeshrug:
I been all for just letting the young guys play and take there growing pains
We need to see if those guys are actually pieces worth keeping going forward and the only way you can do that is by expending there roles

We sucked because we sucked. Wet didn't tank

‘Shrug’ Same difference. We suck now. The only difference is we suck despite the fact that we believed we could make noise in the East despite starting a bunch of journeymen and D-Leaguers.

I’d rather us suck and make the move to start piling actual assets rather than waiting until 2020 to hopefully entice a FA to come sign here despite the fact that plenty of other teams will have capspace, actual stars, and better assets.

Doggy I'm not saying to wait and sit on our asses hoping for miracle prized FAs like 2010.

If we suck and get a high pick then fine. I'm just saying I don't want us to be purposely tanking games Sixers style chasing after high picks. Because last I checked we still owe 2 1st round draft picks over the next 3 years AND 5 freakin 2nd rounders over the next 5 years SO it's not like we get to keep those picks if we start down that tanking path.

See Miami future picks
Incoming: No picks incoming from other teams
Outgoing: 2019 second round draft pick to Minnesota
Miami's 2019 2nd round pick to Minnesota (via Charlotte) [Charlotte-Miami, 6/26/2014; Charlotte-Minnesota, 2/10/2015]

2020 second round draft pick to Sacramento
Miami's 2020 2nd round pick to Sacramento (via Boston to Cleveland) [Boston-Miami, 7/27/2015; Boston-Cleveland, 8/22/2017; Cleveland-Sacramento-Utah, 2/8/2018]

2021 first round draft pick to Philadelphia
Miami's 2021 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Phoenix) [Miami-New Orleans-Phoenix, 2/19/2015; Philadelphia-Phoenix, 6/21/2018]

2021 second round draft pick to Sacramento
Miami's 2021 2nd round pick to Sacramento (via Portland) [Miami-Portland, 2/18/2016; Portland-Sacramento, 6/21/2018]

2023 second round draft pick to Dallas
Miami's 2023 2nd round pick to Dallas [Dallas-Miami, 7/7/2017]

2024 second round draft pick to Cleveland
Miami's 2024 2nd round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 31-55 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Miami's obligation to Cleveland will be extinguished) [Cleveland-Miami, 2/8/2018]

That's why I refused to trade any picks for JimmyB

I don't give a shyt about 2nd rounders, next 1st owed is in 2021.

We'll be right here in 2021 at the rate we're going.
If you capitalize on 2nd rounders you won't need to be signing d-leaguers.

Chalmers, J-Rich =2nd rounders. Winslow should have been one too.

But i know Chalmers was well known being on a good college team

I wish Micky and Riley would hire a serious scout team that goes on the road and watches little known college players who are unlikely to go in the first round so we can have decent cheap talent coming in.
