Nice shyt, Kelly.

Richardson is learning what happens when you the MAIN option on the team.

McGruder continues to impress me, 20P/8R/6A is nothing to sneeze at. He’s showing great decision making, abiklity to run the offense in spurts, and offensive versatility.

DJJ is starting to come into his own too.

This J rich 1st option thing must be trying to close the deal with Minny or some shyt because it doesn't make any sense.

JRich had B2B 20 point games, scored 13 in the 4th tonight, and is showing the ability to get buckets as the primary offensive focus on the team.

What’s your issue with this?

Team is lacking in offense
Seriously 3Gawd is 36
No Ellington, Winslow, Johnson, Waiters
Do we want Richardson shots to go to TJ, McGruder
Dragic can’t take all the shots
We don’t throw the ball into Whiteside or Bam like that and let them cook
So I see why Richardson is getting a much better role and he is producing but all these dudes are are shyting on him if this was Winslow getting these shots dudes would be :blessed::blessed:

It’s not organic. Seems forced.

:dwillhuh:

It’s his 2nd game as the first option on a team with Dragic, Wade, and the like. This same thing happened last year when we gave him more offensive responsibility and we were annoyed at how they keep forcing him to make plays but he kept making mistakes.

Same shyt. J-Rich is a 2nd round pick that no one ever expected to be this good and this is his first season, 2nd game, as the man. Of course it seems a little “forced”. This is how developing players tend to work.

13 points in the 4th with an injured team, 2nd game of a B2B, and B2B 20 point games is great.

He's scoring 20 plus points on 20 plus shots. there is nothing impressive or fun to watch about this. This is force feeding. This is a 4th option with a green light.

If the goal with this is to get a good trade or nice lotto pick, I'm cool with it. I'll make judgement when we have our full rotation available.

@Primetime21 , you gonna stop hating on McGOATer :usure:

His playmaking and passing ability is growing. He’s legit running the offense. Imagine if he has guys like Ellington or Waiters to pass too instead of TJ :blessed:

He already been throwing more lobs to Hassan than Gorman did last year :blessed:

McGruder, Ellington, Winslow, JJ, Olynyk would be a pretty fun lineup especially with Winslow being a respectable shooter now.

Bam is so talented. I think he can definitely blossom into a positionless player. His vision and footwork is insane.

Do you remember what Justice was doing when we forced him to be the primary playmaker? Yeah, he was forcing loads of shots and it looked awful but the confidence he got there plus his playmaking ability started to make itself known.

Richardson forced the action, was too aggressive, and is getting used to running the show.

Yeah, 8 for 21 looks like a struggle but then you see he shot 45% on 11 3s which is fukking amazing. You see got to the line 8 times which is an important aspect of being a 1st option scorer, the ability to get to the line.

And Miami still isn’t a team loaded with knockdown shooters or lots of spacing when we’re healthy so the fact is that he got those numbers with the best wing defenders typically guarding him (Porter, Wall, Oubre) and handling lots of decision making. This is great for a young players confidence and mentality.

28/5/4 isn’t a bad game especially in the context of how he got those numbers. Let’s just relax on hating young Rich for growing pains and look at the overall growth. :hubie:

You're confusing my question with hating. I have no problem with Richardson's continued development.

I'm wondering why he's being the #1 option versus Dragic or Hassan. This isn't Jrich just jacking 20 shots, that's the gameplan. That's what's got me wondering what the goal is here.
