The best we can hope for is for Whiteside to opt out in the offseason (he will get picked up by a team that misses on the free agent class, and for us to buy out TJ.

Whiteside is not opting out. His agent would punch him in the face and call him a moron. Whiteside isn’t highly valued across the league so no one is gonna throw a deal like that at him.

you clearly didnt read my post, getting rid of both those players was not mentioned by trade, read again. The Nets, Knicks, Clippers and some other teams will have cap space and theyre not all gonna get Ad, kyrie or KD.

It’s because of AD rumors of Blake wanting out of Detroit and hearing that Porzingis had us on his list of teams he wanted to be traded to before get dealt to the Mavs.

We keep hearing reports of guys wanting to come here but we have no assets to make any deals and we cant get involved in free agency so everyone is mad.

Also when Jimmy Butler and Kyrie requested trades they had us on their list, Gordon Hayward (dodged that bullet, but he was a marquee free agent), being a finalist for Durant...We have a 110-108 record over the past 2 and a half seasons with this core, it is what it is and we are what we are and that’s a .500 team stranded in basketball purgatory.

Nonetheless I’ll continue to at the occasional wins over good teams and at losses to lottery teams
