Trying too long to keep a window open that had a 1-2 season span at the most. The problem they have is that offensively everyone is being asked to punch 1-2 classes above their own weight. Jimmy isn’t a #1 scorer, bam is a #3 scorer, and Jimmy is old now. They needed to land a genuine #1. Can’t keep the window open long term and consistently to contend without a top guy who is a legit MVP contender every year. That’s been the issue for a decade now. This team has had good supporting casts, but they can’t find the foundational piece. Getting Dame would’ve given them that legit top scorer, but once Cronin made it clear his top priority was not trade him to Miami, Pat needed to either find a different true top scorer on a contender or prepared to blow it up.

Just trade Rozier and Duncan for Lavine. Might as well go all out for Jimmys final year here, and the team has a "Star" once hes gone for the next couple years.

Pacers Acquire Thomas Bryant From Heat For 2nd Round Pick Swap​

The Indiana Pacers have agreed to acquire Thomas Bryant from the Miami Heat for a future second round pick swap. Bryant becomes trade-eligible on Sunday after signing a one-year deal with the Heat this past offseason.


Bryant will give the Pacers depth at center following injuries to James Wiseman and Isaiah Jackson.

Bryant is averaging 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11 minutes this season.
