humans are basically a part of a 'protected territory' of other space beings sorta like how we have our protected Natural Parks and rainforest.

These space beings are comprised of different groups from multiple planets.... but are all 'advanced' creatures. Humans are considered primitive.... And it's stated, that we are 'so sensitive' that research shows we have to start over every-time a meteorite hits. Which is simply ridiculous because other nations and creatures in the universes aren't even phased by meteorites.

One of our primary functions is to be used to help them grow organisms that are rare but needed on their planets - like mosquitoes.
