He called him a great rapper though....

I mean I understand that somewhere along the lines people were brainwashed into thinking about this from the music industry standard and for good reason...if they set the standard they determine the price and the ins and outs...but whatever.

Jay has plenty of musical industry accolades...but we can build the case for him being GREAT AT RAPPING before we even start discussing records sold and singles charter...we can legitimately take a performance based approach to the question and answer it without crunching any numbers, all that shyt is fluff.

Kanye can't rap 1/4th as good as Jay Z at his peak, he is not great at rapping, so if we passing out great rapper awards he and anybody who capes for him can get fukked. Take your corny ass to MTV and get one of those POPcorn things or some other dikk sucking bait the music industry is dangling over these people's heads.
it isn't battle rap...a great rapper is a rapper making great music.

Came to say this. Anyone with ears should be able to hear Kendrick always stealing Eminem flow.

He is a self professed an Stan too
then you don't know what a fukking flow is, and u certainly don't know the 5 criteria to describe a flow. Kendrick and eminem don't even have the same transitions between different rhythmic levels :mjlol:

Some stans saying that the voice effects thing is an eminem influence :mjlol: you're actually proving that

1) you don't know shyt about the culture
2) eminem hasn't influenced shyt

Some west coast rappers do these voice effects/changes because of the Bay Area...it was a fukking cultural thing. Kendrick himself admitted that it is something that fukkING DR DRE taught him...and where do you think eminem got this from? DR DRE
tbh there's 0 eminem influence on kendrick music, 0. and I'm an eminem fan

He never said that before becoming Eminem's label mate.

and if you can hear an eminem influence, then u're most likely new to hip hop or don't know wtf u're talking about

Kendrick Lamar Says ‘Backseat Freestyle’ Was Influenced By Eminem

"You could listen to my whole album and see that it pays homage in my cadence and my flow,” Kendrick told VIBE in March of Em’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city influence. “But at the same time, it’s still me.”
this is what everybody is saying, there's only 1, ONE SONG, on a KENDRICK ALBUM, that was influenced by him (well, thats what he claims...) he never said shyt about em before signing to aftermath, and with the exception of that particular song, he doesn't have ANY other solo song that has an Em element in it.

all his other albums have outkast influences, free jazz (1950-70), suga free, clinton, some west coast stuff, east coast influence, west,...he has a lot of influences, but Em isn't one of them, except for ONE SONG
