FOH. He wasn't even a top five Lakers during that title run (Bron, AD, KCP, Caruso and Rondo). Reread those playoff threads. Lakers fans wanted him out out of there after he stunk it up :mjlol:
Let him thot at DC in peace :heh:
He had his moments we not asking him necessarily to be top 5 through every playoff round

He’s a better player than he was then as well just food for thought :hubie:

Should be a Mavs Knicks finals series.

Get healthy and a couple more guys.
Brunson would have been the best player in the ECF :sas2:
Brunson vs Dallas would've been :ohlawd:
Hope Luka & Kyrie take out those frauds in Boston
I do worry about Lively though
Powell is not an NBA player. They need Lively back to win

Looks like the 76ers are going after Paul George or their plan B is Brandon Ingram.

OG might be a lock to come back to the Knicks. Whoelse is targeting him that can give him the deal he wants?

The only trade I can see happening is draft night to move Bogdanović contracts. He has a partially guaranteed $19 million salary in 2024-25 (that will become guaranteed on June 28), which is part of the reason why the Knicks traded for him. Maybe the Knicks can package him with those 2 picks to move up a few spots in the draft? Might as well throw Jericho Sims in that package to get another C or PF.

Unless someone like Giannis or even LeBron wants to be moved there is no point in moving Randle. They might as well run it back, and see if they can bring OG, Hartenstein, and Burkes back. There are a lot of older names out there that are looking for that last big contract.

If the OG Anunoby level players in the league are gonna command 40 mil a year nowadays, then the Deuce Mcbride type of contracts become that much more important to have on a team.
140 mil for 4 years, cool.

160 mil for 4 years, fụck no, healthy or not.

He should not be making more than Brunson.

Maybe Brunson doesn't care and is happy taking less. It must be nice growing up rich.
Breh Brunson wasn’t that rich his pops made about $10M in the league (in 9 seasons, had years making $5,000 and $16,000 in the league where he a fringe player) and that’s before taxes and fees. He was prob getting steady high 5 to 6 figs as an assistant coach in college and the pros when Jalen was growing up. His moms is a paralegal he was comfortable probably upper middle class but not rich.

He need to get that real generational wealth bag 💰 OG shouldn’t be getting paid more than him and his game deserves that.

OG health is a huge concern he didn’t even make it to the Raptors championship.

True....but that additional 5 or 10 mil a year could be on another stars salary...perhaps Mikal.

You could get Mikal on 25/30 mil a year while keeping a minimized OG on 25 and it won't hurt too much but then you got Randle....

Randle's healthier though not as efficient.

Breh OG gonna get probably $35 mil but Brunson and Randle will extend so the year after this season they earn more. 4/140 seems like a lot but it’s not. We are like a year or two away from a player earning around 70 mil a year.

It’s been written.

CAA/Knicks and the players know exactly what they can get, and they probably give a discount to live in NY and play for a good team.

The real questions are

1) is Hartenstein staying ?
2) is CP3 getting waived and coming here?
3) can they pull a Mikal trade?
4) Will they actually draft someone for the first time in 3 year?

Also quick note regarding Hartenstein. It’s a good center draft, so $16 mil might be enough. The Hawks just want to give Capella away and he is still a starting caliber center.
