I don't see why anyone on here would have a problem with this. Most of yall don't even practice any religion, let alone a traditional African one.

Why do yall care?
This isn't good reasoning or logic because it implies in order to care for another group you have to be apart of that group itself.

Most of ya'll not from the Caribbean let alone Haiti so why would you care about an Earthquake in Haiti?

Most of ya'll don't even go to church let alone a Methodist church, so why would you care about Dylan roof?

Most of ya'll weren't in the military let alone the Marines why would you care who we go to war with?

like Abrahamic Religions, they wouldn’t practice the rules of said traditional African religions… whatever the fukk that means there’s a billion of them throughout the country.

Like my post said, they have every right to do that. In the same way folks denounce God or Allah for not changing their lives, do you not think these people feel the same about their respective God?

to core word here is “care”.. why do you care?

Whether it’s Buddhism, NOI, Christianity, Islam, Traditionalist, an individual has a choice in following the ordinances of whatever organization they feel will give them structure.

the biggest problem is some of these countries don’t use these teachings to improve their conditions.. just simply pray for shyt to get better without work.

What I said still stands.....Because I can? I can do better than that. Because I feel people have a right to their traditional religious practice without them being demonized by Christians or Muslims. Or being threaten will burning in hell if they keep their traditions and customs. That makes more sense than being apathetic towards other groups and demographics.

Joey Diaz is one of them

Because no other culture destroys theirs in favor for that of the invader. When cacs went to Asia them boys didn’t do away with Hinduism, Shintoism, or bhuddism

Bro what? White folks did the same things to each other. Germanic peoples, Jews and more outright abandoned or made concessions in their culture to assimilate in the days if the Roman Empire. They considered them barbarians that needed to be civilized. Eastern Euros did the same when the were subjugated by Russia at different points in history.

And they did do the same in Asia. Why do you think The Philippines is a majority catholic country? Why do you think Islam is the second largest religion in India? The largest in Pakistan? Even if they kept their religious practices, they did abandon many aspects of their culture in favor of white Western ones. Japan straight up abandoned its feudal society to adopt Western culture.

These other groups are no better than black folks I wish our people would stop thinking like that.

Thanks for responding fam. Yeah I seen she had a wikipedia page and everything must be fairly popular in some circles. I post a video down below of her doing some type of ceremonial stuff. She looks legit but idk. What do you think about this topic? I think the african tribe should keep their tradition and Idol. Other bruhs saying we shouldn't care about africans and their culture, tradition or religious practices.

Always found it interesting how you will find black people all over the world submitting to Islam, Christianity, Juadiasm, even Hinduism and the likes but I don't think I've ever recalled seeing a non black person submit to a black religion :jbhmm:

ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS DERIVE FROM AFRICAN POLYTHEISTIC RELIGIONS. THE GREEK/ROMAN PANTHEONS COME FROM ANCIENT CANAANITE RELIGION. SAME STORIES, DIFFERENT NAMES.

Comparing an idol being destroyed to an mass shooting, an earthquake that killed hundreds of thousands of people and a war that involves the US military is ridiculous. This situation is miniscule in comparison. It's also a faulty premise in it of itself, because I could argue that all of those situations do or could impact me in some way.

Dylann Roof's motivation for murdering those people in Mother Emanuel was because of his racism and antiblackness. That affects me. A mass shooting in America period affects me

The American military engaging in war affects me as a citizen because my Taz dollar will go toward paying it and the political discourse in this country will be focused on it. That affects me.

Haiti is a strategic partner in the same region as my country. My country has a sizable diaspora of Haitians. Their stability is important.

I may not be apart of the "core group", but I am affected in some way. How are you all affected by this idol being smashed?

speaking for Nigeria, there’s Christians that have been slaughtered by Muslims for the past few months. They should have a right to practice their religion. So do Traditionalists

My issue is holding these traditional religions on a pedestal and ignore all the negative attributes of it, then getting upset the people who practice it daily grown to think they shouldn’t do it anymore.

some traditions are meant to be broken, some are meant to be forgotten. In place of Christianity/Islam — fukk no, but Africans have the right to decide what is best for their individual nation.

that right was stripped from them by colonialism, but colonialism is not the end all be all for these countries. They have a mind of their own.
