Nah, because a lot of them were still in the street after they got on. They were just smarter.

They had more respect for themselves, and they lived by the code. The kids today think they're active, but they're not getting any money. Being reckless and doing a bunch of dumb sh*t doesn't make you active. They're still living with their moms and trying to act like bosses. Back in the day, a lot of the rappers would be getting real money in the street and had to choose between that or doing the music. They also had real OG's who would guide them to make better choices to be smart and focus on the kinda sh*t that would keep them from getting locked up.

These dudes today don’t even seem to care about their own safety or welfare. There's a wild level of ignorance that almost makes you feel sorry for them. You take that and then see how much jealousy they always have for whoever wins, and all that just adds up to a lot of unnecessary bullsh*t.
