Saw this today.......I really loved it, despite that it is about 25 minutes too long, which cannot be avoided, but the acting, music, direction, just raw emotions and feeling....pretty incredible. Loved the tension and the inescapable feeling of dread, but also the naiveté of youth......the fragility of it. Loved the feminist themes too, and how Victoria maneuvered through everything faster and more efficiently then everyone around her, which is why she survived... she had so much heart and strength in her...like so many probably girls who work in cafes and ride their bikes around the city....And the personalities of the guys, who were such little boys, in all senses...first they are creepy and vaguely menacing, then just harmless in their innocence and basically consumed by it in the end....This is top 10 of the year, just for the sheer tension and emotion it invoked in me...I was all relieved when they left the first time, knowing they had to come back at some point...

i really really enjoyed this. even though i don't find it at all believable a young girl would go with 4 creepy looking guys at 4 in the morning

definitely in my top 10 this year.. though i find the year relatively weak overall, this definitely was dope.

why does she look so good in that poster, but is all acne faced in the flick? :lupe:

good thing she got outta there with the money even though she seemed to have been crying in the room for 10 minutes. bye bye to that 4 euro an hour job :troll:

The opening scene where she offers to buy the barman a drink, and the convo about why she's there and how many people she knows, tells you precisely why, breh. She's in a foreign city with no friends and her dreams are pretty over and she is desperate to get to know someone (again, she offered to buy the barman a drink, think about that). It might be a bit of a stretch that she would go along with them that deep into the abyss they're into, but that's the core motivation behind all her actions and all the suspense of belief the movie offers you given the short timespan of the movie.

And regarding Laia Costa's looks, that's that classic difference between a euro girl's natural look and some professional make-up/hairstyling that accentuates their facial bone structure.

The kind of sorcery that makes a girl go from:
