It's def chance. I don't get what happened with them they made great music together.Hmmm, for some reason I think he said some shyt about Chance... I don't know if Jay blocks somebody from dissing Yatchy

Live I've said, I've been following Vic Mensa... he's still figuring out his sound. When he first came out, he sounded just like Chance on a lot of records, so he's had to separate his sound and try and carve out a lane for himself.I mean, are you really feeling these weird rock-pop hooks I feel like if this is your first time listening to Vic you might be reeled in by his MC skills and some of the melodies but if you've listened to those 2 EPs and this, you're pretty much over that and expect something more focused and realized

He's the type of artist that can make a melodic album full of songs catered to that, or he can just drop a straight up rap album. I'm sure the label encouraged him dropping a project that shows his versatility and on top of that it's called "The Autobiography" so it stayed true to that. He's showing a wide range on this and it's who is has been as an artist up til now. This sound better than There's A lot Going On IMO. It's a solid debut album, can't forget that it's really his first album on the label
A song with weezer. I fukking approve.
You doing too much.Yeah his old stuff might have sounded like Chance-lite, but at least he had an identity. His look now screams Chicago drill (he has Southside tatted on his neck ). His singing stuff screams melodic rapper. His rapping ability screams real MC. His beat selection screams pop. Of course he's playing the label game for a lot of this, but it doesn't all work together is what I'm saying. Granted I'm not saying an artist can't be versatile but they still have to be consistent in presentation and sound. There's a reason why Vic hasn't caught on like his peers (ie Chance, Vince, Kendrick, Schoolboy) or his sonic inspirations (ie Cudi, Drake, Kanye, Cole, Big Sean) have, and its not just due to a lack of promotion since he has all the co-signs and platforms in the world. At a certain point, the content has to work and connect in order for the artist to go and that hasn't happened yet with Vic. And truthfully, I don't think it'll happen with this album either, although I wouldn't be mad if I was proven wrong.
