Afterwards he wrote a tell-all book about his experience that's completely anti-Affirmative Action and claims that Affirmative Action “destroys the dreams of millions of Indian-American, Asian American, and white applicants for employment and higher education.” He banked on his sister's celebrity status to promote his book while his sister attacked it and said he "brought shame upon the family."

In any case, they’re essentially creating a whole new character (because this iteration of Velma will include nothing that actually makes her Velma), but slapping the name Velma onto it strictly because she’s an established IP.
