Would you take a job that you were unqualified for in a whole nother location?

I was a government contractor and the funny thing is although I was a total DEI hire I would be still at work had I not caught my case.

I lost my security clearance and you know what I did?

I took Yes for an answer and got 100% disability and my retirement check and got the fukk on.

What I didn’t do was try to apply for a job in my field that I was only barely qualified for.
If I had a family to feed and a mortgage to pay, I might have to. I can't say what I'd do today as I'm older and not in that position. But I have been when I was younger and just starting out out of college. I lost a good job and had to take some shyt I was vastly overqualified for until I could find something else.

Let me ask you since you have experience with the govt workplace and process: are most of the people being let go going to be able to do what you did? i know you were in the military, so i'm sure that helped with the disability and all, but what about people who may have been working for 8-10 years and never served?

no, i don't think that's possible, but it's not my legislation and it's not about what I personally think or feel about it. that's the mistake the people in this thread are making. because i'm not just sittng back and crying, they deduce that i must be in favor of what's happening and a trump supporter. lol and i know the issues that come with retraining those of a certain age, i have family members involved with a program like that now.
Listen generally people work for the government because of the benefits it’s gonna be super hard to convince those people to try to retain for a job that they might not get.

You don’t understand how Government recruiting works when I was retiring I had to go to a presentation from a guy from the Department of Labor from Feds Hire Vets Homie was not a veteran he was just talking about no matter how disabled you are you can work for the government dude was blind and in a wheelchair His job was to ensure that accomodations where made for people with disabilty working for the government.

That dude is not getting another job. When I was getting my retirement ID the guy who gave it to me was a guy who’s job was to evaluate places that military people would go on vacation to ensure it was safe.

The nikka literally went to a resort that I stayed in Jamaica that I stayed in while I was there “training”. The Jamaica Defence Force.

Dude obviously loved his job but was debating getting another job ( in the government) for higher pay.

Most government jobs are internal or cross agency jobs so a good amount will just end up in another government job as few people will apply for the jobs that are left.

Most federal jobs are either Disabled Veteran, Schedule A ( regular disabled people) ex peace corps and Teach for America people and internal hires

The courts might overturn this there’s already been cases where they rehired people and the next president will likely rehire the rest. Why not just wait it out? besides those factories ( if they get built) are gonna take years to spin up just the enviromental impact studies in the small towns that they will get built in will take years.

I have a very meaningful and well paying job, thanks.

And In my job, i can't just make statements without any backing facts. That could cost ppl tons of money.

So saying you "heard something on the radio", which is edited and misleading to the point you're trying to make whether your intention or not, needs to be addressed/corrected.

Maybe you did not mean to lie, so my apology if you took that personally, but someone here will read what you wrote, then go tell someone else so and so forth.
I think this jackass has me blocked. He prolly blocked you too, seeing how you wanna think critically and provide new information and shyt :hhh:

Ask him about Howard Lutnick saying about these jobs will for robots or human shyt as menial as "the little screws" on an iPhone tho. I'm tryna see something :jbhmm:

what's evil about it?

was it evil when manufacturing jobs were leaving this country by the millions because of free trade agreements like nafta, and clinton told all those newly out of work people that they had to go back to school and get tech educations to try and prepare themselves for the new realties of a global workplace? the other day on the radio they were playing clips of pelosi, obama, and bernie sanders talking about the need for tariffs.

it's ugly, but evil isn't the word i'd use. for Black people, it's unfortunate that we weren't better prepared.

No, you're one of those that identifies with your political party like you're in a gang. But not an active participant who's out on the front lines puttin in work, because we both know that outside of voting (if you even do that) you've never done anything having to do with politics except post on here, and, despite having over 50,000 posts, you're not even very good at that. lol

My friend, i don't find trump relatable. he's an 80 year old fat white man from new york who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. I'm nowhere near 80, Black, and born and raised in the South into a regular family. Our experiences are nothing alike.

But most of all, what i'm not, is emotional and stupid like you. i can see something any politician has done and analyze it without emotion. Try standing up to piss.

Bro, I dont identify with the Democrats.

Thats not what Trump opposition is about.

The man is highly anti social and has been convicted of numerous felonies for what amounts to racketeering.

He shouldn't be running a fukking lemonade stand let alone an entire country.

He has never had a successful business.

Its so fukking simple :dead:

Is it really just me that sees Trump as an absolute menace to way of life that no president in my lifetime has been.

I am all about self preservation

i don't identify with trump, so i don't understand why you came at me with that dumb shyt. but i see that being snide and disrespectful is your way.

as for the rest of it, we all knew trump wasn't qualified the first time he won. but those of us who grew up in america and haven't deluded ourselves into believing "things are different now" weren't surprised he was reelected.
