what's evil about it?

was it evil when manufacturing jobs were leaving this country by the millions because of free trade agreements like nafta, and clinton told all those newly out of work people that they had to go back to school and get tech educations to try and prepare themselves for the new realties of a global workplace? the other day on the radio they were playing clips of pelosi, obama, and bernie sanders talking about the need for tariffs.

it's ugly, but evil isn't the word i'd use. for Black people, it's unfortunate that we weren't better prepared.
:wtf: :wtf:
But that’s exactly what these government employees did! They are educated professionals who were hired to fulfill skilled roles. These weren’t unskilled people hoping for a return of jobs that were moved overseas. And now those skilled roles have been eliminated overnight, and they will be expected to fill the factory positions that we were told weren't coming back.
⬇️⬇️⬇️
Highly educated and skilled people are not going to go work in a factory. This is merit based? DEI was far better. All these CACs know is how to destroy shyt.

Go to college to work a non-physical labor job only to be fired because they want you to do physical labor.

:laff::laff::laff:

Who the fukk is going from a federal government desk job to an assembly line :skip:
Exactly. This shyt is absolutely crazy.

I’m saying. I don’t even know how a Black person can’t be offended at the thought of fellow Black folks who put in the effort to become educated and obtain white collar jobs only to be fired and told to essentially work in some factories.

These cacs got some fukking nerve pulling this shyt.

and what i'm trying to make you understand is many of those who were working in manufacturing were skilled too, and when their jobs were taken away by the millions they had families and the same obligations those losing their jobs today have. they might not have had a college degree, but many of them had had many hours of trainings and retrainings and certifications. and not all of them were able to simply go back to school and then get govt jobs. that's the reality. so maybe what's happening is "evil" to you because it's happening in your time and to people you know. i don't like it and wish trump and then had gone about it a different way, but i don't see it as evil. but then again i don't know the true financial situation of the country.

Stop lying to ppl.

Obama, Sander etc don't believe in BLANKET tariffs like Trump is doing.

Nobody is voting to spend more money and not be able to afford things

Did you read where I typed anything at all about what they "believed?" I simply said they played clips on the radio of them talking about the need for tariffs. So the only liar here is you.

I really wonder how some of you make it on your jobs with the way you misconstrue, blatantly or not, other people's words. There's just no way some of you could hold positions that really mean anything.

You think you could make a Program manager a machinst just like that?

Most Feds are Veterans kinda old to retrain.

A fair amount will take the unemployment ride out that cash out their TSP’s ( Government 401K’s) apply for jobs in Defense and as contractors and failing that get on social security disability.

Would you take a job that you were unqualified for in a whole nother location?

I was a government contractor and the funny thing is although I was a total DEI hire I would be still at work had I not caught my case.

I lost my security clearance and you know what I did?

I took Yes for an answer and got 100% disability and my retirement check and got the fukk on.

What I didn’t do was try to apply for a job in my field that I was only barely qualified for.

I have a very meaningful and well paying job, thanks.

And In my job, i can't just make statements without any backing facts. That could cost ppl tons of money.

So saying you "heard something on the radio", which is edited and misleading to the point you're trying to make whether your intention or not, needs to be addressed/corrected.

Maybe you did not mean to lie, so my apology if you took that personally, but someone here will read what you wrote, then go tell someone else so and so forth.

no, i don't think that's possible, but it's not my legislation and it's not about what I personally think or feel about it. that's the mistake the people in this thread are making. because i'm not just sittng back and crying, they deduce that i must be in favor of what's happening and a trump supporter. lol and i know the issues that come with retraining those of a certain age, i have family members involved with a program like that now.

I didn't make statements without any backing facts. When I was asked to provide proof, I gave it. The person asking wasn't serious, and that's where the convo with me and him fell apart.

And I didn't "not mean to lie," I didn't lie. I do take that personally because I try to be very precise when I'm relating what another person said. I can't help what someone who halfass reads through the thread runs out and says. That's a stupid person and I don't concern myself with those. An intelligent person would look up the quotes to see what was actually said, which is what I did after I heard them playing the clips on the show. And it's telling that nobody has posted those clips, or asked for them to be posted, but instead would rather argue with me like I'm responsible for people losing their jobs.
