If some crazy broad i(a girlfriend in this case) is coming at me all aggressive trying to wrestle and snatch something out of my hand that belongs to me, I'mma get her up off of me as well. Sounds like that's what happened and he called the cops just to distance himself from her ass and everything that followed, follows.

I believe this is likely what happened (even though it's also likely he snapped on her for the same reason). But that's a thin line between self defense, depending on how violent her behavior was towards him or an attack, if she was just reaching for his shyt and he went off.

Video would've settled that.

It was under the radar this week and folks were ready to forget about it. honestly he would have been better just admitting he screwed up from the jump and willing to accept whatever punishment comes his way and start the apology tour rather than set the expection he did nothing wrong and is completely being lied on. Now we know something physical did happen but we just dont know what and to what extent.

Now he needs to release any video and provide his narrative to fill in the blanks from that text cause it leaves more questions than answers by itself.

People got the story all backwards due to the initial incorrect reports from tmz.

What happened was they had the incident in the taxi then went home. At some point she passed out or had some type of medical emergency. JM called for help. Police showed up and treated it as a domestic dispute and since she had “injuries” they took JM in.

It seems she’s always maintained to the police that he didn’t strangle her. She went to the hospital for the aforementioned emergency.

YES video showing that she just overreacted. Or texts saying that she lied are the only thing I would release telling the police. Her saying the police wouldn't charge him isn't a good look because it sounds like she is covering for him.
