I’m seeing ads everywhere. Marketing isn’t the problem. People are tired of that shyt. Nobody trying to watch 38 episodes of wack television just to understand who a random hero in a movie is.

The best Marvel movies had a dark tone (e.g., Black Panther 1, Winter Soldier, Civil War).
Those were a departure from the formulaic, overly campy nonsense they’ve been releasing at volume. Only so long before people got tired of that shyt.
Also no one gives a fukk about most of these Tier 3 characters in the new phases.
They‘re also trying too hard to appeal to audiences that don‘t give a fukk about superheroes - same issue as Star Wars.
I fully expect them to fukk up X-Men and Fantastic Four.

They should have released this earlier this year as planned. And ripped that band aid off.
The issue is the MCU is awry and has been that way for a while. No direction. Introducing heroes then we may see again 2-3 years later.
Covid was enough time to change tack and plans shorten the timeline.
The OGs got their send off. They should have been building a new Avengers as a first movie then do spin offs with the characters that worked.
I would have changed tack have an Avengers movie with T'challa as the lead, have all the other newer characters also be in the team/movie. And from there you can breakaway and do separate stories with the characters that work either separately or in team up movies

I’ll die on this hill but I think Endgame should have never happened.
Endgame should have been their entire next phase, rebuilding from the snap. Would have gave them a decade more of movies to truly flesh out everything and set up the Mutants for X-Men.

Nothing is wrong with having an agenda if not negative. The issue here is it was heavy handed and sloppy.
Again the scene in Endgame was HORRIBLE. People sucked their teeth in the theater. It was a literal pause in the story and action and someone saying “GIRL POWER! GIRLS KICK ASS TOO”.
None of the Marvels have enough cache for anyone to care about.
This agenda is negative because it’s done terribly so the effect is negative not to mention it’s unnecessary.
Nobody complained about Rogue in Xmen, Black Widow, Storm etc.
We’ve been watching women kick ass on screen since Jackie Brown but those were done dope. We watch Tarantino have trilogy with Kill Bill female led. Classic. No agenda just kick ass movies.
This shyt and Star Wars was done simply to try and attract a female audience without having dope storylines behind it. Audiences aren’t dumb. That’s why they are flopping.
It really amazes me when people get mad at audiences for saying hey I’m not watching that shyt.
