I don't follow because Marvel had their biggest success after 2012. Up until 2023. People said "Black Panther" was pandering....and it made $1.3 billion.

MCU definitely isn't gone but I believe these L's are necessary. I think Marvel/Disney has been operating as if they are too big to fail. They literally gave us subpar material for phase 4 and then told us "Look: we tell the stories that we want to tell. We could care less if yall like it, we're still going to tell the story."

And at first we were all going along with it in the hopes that it would get better. Now that we see it isn't, the audience is turning on them. And I love that.

Hopefully this is their wake up call that tells them its time to do better. The people are rejecting their movies. GOTG is the last big movie they had and the guy that made it is now running the competition. I hope that's sinking in with them.

Do we really want them to not grow and just play it safe making 100 movies with the same 3-9 characters over-saturating them?

Well Agatha is a risk, Echo is a risk, Wanda was a risk, Moon Knight was a risk, Werewolf was a risk and so on.

People said they wanted something different, they provided it. Maybe you didn’t ask for it, but some did.

Taking a risk doesn't mean you don't make good movies, breh, come on. The acceptable risks were Shang Chi. Eternals. Wandavision. Loki.

That was different from anything Marvel had done before.

Agatha is being greedy. Echo is being greedy. Even The Marvels is being green. Moon Knight wasn't being greedy but it was just retarded to have that character and not, to quote the good breh @hex, go crazy.
