TikTok is known in China as Douyin (which came before TikTok and is also owned by ByteDance).
The reason why the international TikTok is "banned" in China is because the Chinese government doesn't want their citizens to be able to directly interact online with Westerners and other foreigners. China has it's own social media bubble of apps for this reason.
So you're making the argument for why it isn't the same app and hence not "Chinese".
You conveniently ignored the long response I had to this and the Meta comparison.
If your argument is that it's foreign, then you might as well buy only American and bush the device you're using. Almost everything on or around you is Chinese by this logic.
You should also be ringing alarms for the large swathes of land that China owns in America.
