Well the first one didn't have matches. Cripple H was always injured and ducking doing real work on television. He was basically a Michaels hype man in 1997 and first quarter of 98. I don't even recall him wrestling except for Austin slapping him around before WM 14.

Benoit was in the bushes long before June 2007 as far as a worker goes. His fodder job to Cena in the Michaels feud in 2007 was the best thing he did in 3 years. If it wasn't for the mainstream media overreacting, it would have been just another wrestler death.

Bret/HBK Iron Man last 20-30 minutes is the best stretch of wrestling in WWE history.

HBK was perfectly justified for his actions in Montreal after all the bullshyt Bret put him through

HHH is top 3 WWE alltime workers

Russo is brilliant

In a nutshell it told the best story out of all the DX incarnations.. It came full circle.

Plus it had the best matches match-for-match out of any of the incarnations

I don't quite agree that it's the best but it's definitely GOAT status to me. That big match feel :ahh:
It legit felt like two guys fighting to find out who's the number one guy in the sport. Like a matchup of the P4P #1 and #2 in boxing.

People who expect a 60 minute match to have the same rewatchability as a 25 minute match as missing the point.

that was the problem with most of the match, it was Bret basically potato'ing Shawn. There's a whole story there. But it still set the bar for all future WWE main events

I guess the best way to put it, in keeping with the theme of the thread, and considering how smarks like to say otherwise: The Bret/Shawn IronMan Match is NOT overrated. I personally don't think it's the GOAT WWE match bell-to-bell but I can see why a lot of people think it is.

Yea I was pretty happy with the way they closed it out in 2009-2010 winnin the tag straps, liked the way they unraveled at the end too, two GOAT's kinda clashing but still remaining friends... shyt was deep :whew:

nWo wolfpack = GOAT Face Stable

Kevin Nash was better than Austin & Goldberg towards the end of 98

HHH in his athletic prime is an A level worker.

Lesnar while fun when booked right is the epitome of 1 dimensional.

Cesaro can only be successful if he doesn't talk, or taunt or anything involving charisma.

Santino was over enough at one point that he deserved a world title run.

Sheamus is an excellent performer, and has good charisma. Smarks are just retarded.

The montreal screwjob is the best main event of the entire 90s outside of royal rumbles

American badass undertaker breathed life into a charactor that wouldve died a REAL bad death during the transition from attitude to ruthless agression..

That kofi kingston is a GOAT special match wrestler, only hardy in this generation even compares in rumbles/chambers/mitb

Nobody has wastes time on WWE roster like babyface big show.

NWO Red and black fukkING SUCKED and was a bunch of losers acting like fake gang bangers. The bout it bout it / rowdy rowdy shyt...and lame ass luger ruined the entire nwo.

No wave of new wrestlers compares to the 02 ovw class of randy orton / brock lesnar / john cena / dave batista / shelton benjamin and the center in florida will never produce that talent...

Daniel Bryan will never have a run of successful years, or entertaining matches, like CM PUNK has had going back to the straight edge society to today. He has had so many classic matches and moments, and i cant see bryan doing the same thing. He is allowing himself to be a comedy/joke charactor and that will destroy his career.

Sadly true. Bryan has a great career going for him and I'm happy that indy guys are making big money... But more and more I struggle to see a guy like HBK coming out of retirement for him

The only way I can see it is if HBK has a soft spot for the kid on some

shyt but I can't see it
