the public system is overloaded. They’re begging private hospitals to take patients.
in fact in Spain they had to take over private hospitals bc they realized the public hospitals weren’t enough.
Ppl with private insurance in both Spain and Italy were able to receive care quicker in non crowded hospitals.
in the USA you can go to both private doctors and non profit hospitals(which is the best comparison to public hospitals)

they can’t do it to current patients already under their care. They can’t pull you off icu when u been there for a week to let someone else take it due to a corona outbreak.
In Italy they can, in the USA they can’t.

Private hospitals account for 25% of hospitals in America. 95%+ of them accept health insurance. Most ppl have visited a private hospital and go to them including blacks.
If you have insurance you can go to a private hospital.

Most of that is due to surprise billing from my understanding. What Bernie didn’t tell y’all was surprise billing is still going to exist under m4all. He added the same backdoor excuse we already have now in the bill. Certain things for “medical necessity” won’t be covered.
On his website he lists “cosmetic surgery”. But the real list consists of thousands of different things.
