Yeah I'm in to this shyt. Played 3 hours this morning stopped to get breakfest and immediately thought of a new tweak to my composition to better optimize it. How many total units yall be running? Seems hard to get a bunch of groups exp. I feel like you need a tight group of 3-4 units.
When you start you'll think that

As you get further in the game you'll realize that you legitimately need every unit because of time/stamina constraints

Don't worry about exp distribution tho the game will force you to level up units naturally

its.... minimal lol. "are you a bad enough dude to liberate the world?" is pretty much it. but i think many are okay with a straightforward story over a bad one
Is there a lot of food and cooking shyt in this game?

I loved Odin Sphere but the constant planting seeds was annoying. I fukked with some Yakisoba Pan in 13 Sentinels tho :obama:
not that kind of cooking. just real quick tavern and build rapport shyt. completely skippable tbh

there's a items that buff damage and crit at the cost of something insane like -50 accuracy. other abilities that just have a naturally low hit chance. some attacks refund AP just for connecting

means nothing when you hit every time :francis: rebuilding my teams now because im a dummy
I've only seen a few of those but not enough to rebuild my team over yet, so I guess that's coming up

I know they consciously decided not to do permadeath but a permadeath feature in this game would really take this game to that next level in terms of difficulty and immersion. You'd play this game completely different, and since you'd have to use the merc system to replace unit and train them up, you could play your way into softlocking yourself out of progress unless you grinded

I'm not sure how I feel about the battle preview in games like these anymore. Some of the tension gets lost when you know exactly how it will play out. In this game with all the passives and stuff that can trigger I feel like the preview is too accurate.

one thing they could do better is highlight that the battle preview changes after certain intervals. im not sure exactly what the time difference is tho. i've learned the hard way that you can't send a unit across the map unless their advantage is going to stay constant.

Depends on assists and the condition of the enemy unit.
