She’s the highest paid person on here. There’s plenty of weirdos that probably watch it for that decepticon.

Klaus is a worthless character. Wtf is the point of that mufukka.

BECAUSE SHE HAD THE BIGGEST ROLES
AMONGST A CAST OF RELATIVELY
NEW ACTORS.

i don't even know why they had to address it. it's fukking acting., not real life. there was zero reason to make vanya into viktor other than pandering and page probably pushing it. let her be a transgendered "he" in her regular life, but she still could've acted as a "she" as vanya w/o the transgenderism needing to even be brought up.

The whole point of transitioning was to not have to act like a 'she' in life, why do it in a show? To make other people comfortable?

Aside from that...the testosterone that they have been on has reshaped their face/head sigifigantly. I was so happy when they finally got a haircut and took that George Jefferson/Wednsday Adams mash up of a wig tf off.

:mjlol:

Them walking around like that all season would have been way more unsettling than the quick little detour made actually addressing the issue. The moment they had with Luther and Deigo was sweet and the ordeal actually enhanced the whole family sticking together concept.

They aren't operating like a cable channel atall :heh:

They have a locked in subscriber base that needs to be fed, they aren't competing for viewers like a cable channel does, but they can't get outgunned for a entire summer just because The Boys is a better show :heh:

Umbrella academy will get its viewers regardless

What do you think a Cable channel does :heh:

They make shows for the Fall, Summer, etc.

We just replaced this with streaming. Netflix sets aside billions every year to make movies, tv shows, reality shows, then they decide what time is the best time in the year to release it. That's cable :heh: They also hold off a year between seasons. That's cable too :heh: They just should have held off on Umbrella Academy until most subscribers finished watching their other major shows like Stranger Things.

You're leaving out the key aspect which is cable networks compete with each other over time slots and ratings. Streaming services only care about subscriber numbers. In that regard Netflix is really only in competition with themselves and have to justify their increase in subscription cost.

What benefit does it serve the platform keep Umbrella Academy on ice longer than it has already been?

It becoming a show that’s trending and talked about across social media like Stranger Things and Squid Games. That’s harder to do if everybody is watching it at their own pace whenever they want. You want people talking about it for the first 2-4 weeks when it first comes out. That would create buzz and more subscribers. Ergo, they shouldn’t release it during a crowded timeframe because it will get lost in the shuffle and people will just put it on their List of shows to watch in the future. Streaming is not just about retaining subscribers with good content, it’s also about acquiring subscribers. Either way if you don’t see how streaming correlates with cable, it’s cool breh. Not a big deal.

I get what you're saying I just don't think Netflix gives af about it like that. they are the front runners and Umbrella Academy isn't a smash hit like that
