True, imo a fighter should never rise above his corner. Too many legendary fighters get burnt like that.Silva has never listened to his corner. Can't recall all the times they would tell him get off the cage, attack, etc and he would just brush them off. Hes 40 and is not about to start over. He still wants to put on a show and wow but the physical talents have clearly diminished
This really sucks. And its not like Bisping blew him out or did anything special. Same old bisping with the basic 1-2 combos and the occasional body kick. Silva just doesn't have it anymore. Let him fight Belfort in Brazil for his retirement. But even then Belfort might KO him. Chin gone, speed and reflexes gone. Hes heading down Roy Jones Jr territory
Best 10 I ever spent, but this the clearest case of judges swayed by crowd
Last 3 rounds wasn't even close enuff to be up for debate
however Spider should know by now cacs don't eff with his "antics" clearly a lot of count punches ain't land mannn
Yon yones the GOATDon't start with this cac shyt, Silva caused his own downfall, breh is GOAT but he is done
Long time Bisping fan but watching that was hard. Anderson needs a need coach and new camp, remove himself from those yes man trainers. He went in there and tried to point fight with the best point fighter in that division. Barely threw any kicks and the ones he did throw were so devastating, it blows my mind his corner didn't call for more of that. I hate watching fighters fall because their trainers allow the fighter to do w/e they want. I think Anderson with the right camp is a completely different fighter, he has all the tools to still win in that division.
edit: I don't think Anderson won that fight at all. He has some shining moments but i think the fight metric will show why Bisping was given the decision. You don't take the Count to decision.
No title runs at all, I doubt Bisping even gets through Romero if he is cleared. Middleweight top 5 is no joke but Anderson can still take on the lower half of the division imo. People underestimate Bisping, I don't know why, he has proven himself time and time again. Barely losing Bisping is nothing to be ashamed of. I'm not saying his game will be changed completely he just needs someone to create a game plan he will follow.too late for that. he's 40 and you think someone can change who he is as a fighter.
silva is shot, period! can't counter, can't pull the trigger and worst of all, can't finish fukking Bisping :mjol:
even if silva would have won, rockhold would've put a beatdown on son.
if Silva is done, Bisping is done'r
