Khabib put the pressure on Justin. Theres no power in your punches when you’re backpedaling. Also on that triangle, Justin literally gave him his arm. Sloppy defense.

Great performance by Khabib. One of the best to ever do it.

good for him though.

went out undefeated.
cleaned out the whole division.
still young.
never been knocked out in a fight, so he'll probably avoid have the really bad brain damage of dudes who hold on too long.
probably got enough money for life anyway just off the conor fight, not that it probably even matters to him.

a legendary career at the age of 32, in the GOAT convo, definitely top 5 all time. time to ride off into the tundra.:ehh:

Some shyt aint about money. He fought enough to live his fathers dream. Probably paid enough to live the rest of his life comfortably and without major injury. Going out on top as the P4P #1 aint bad.
people misunderstood what i was stating..

i was saying Dana better pay the man well with this win and his career!!

Man if these dudes don’t quit with that “Great Canadian Hope” bullshyt in every thread

GSP is damn near 40, way past his prime, only fought once in 6 years against a dude who was just as old and past his prime as he was

Lets not forget the going up in weight gave him Colitis so any body blows would end the fight. The Colitis was the only reason he didn’t fight.

People actually want to watch a passed his prime GSP fight Khabib :dwillhuh:

Prime Georges/Khabib would be an interesting fight, but in 2020 he would get viciously mauled. That’s no slight to GSP or his career, but the man is damn near 40.
I dont think anyone doubts this would be the outcome, but ultimately the fight would do numbers, and get both fighters & the UFC paid

I can't say who would lose, but GSP vs. Khabib has way too many variables to be a meaningful fight at this point.

Rn I'm still hoping Tony can make a comeback and finally get the belt, even if it's in Khabib's absence it would mean a lot to see for me :mjcry:

I was against the idea of it as soon as the rumors started as a GSP fan.

He’d be draining himself at 40 which isn’t smart to begin with at those smaller classes.

just to take a savage mauling from a much meaner spirited grappler.

Woulda been sad and hard to watch.

It’s crazy to think Khabib went 29-0 without seeing his own blood or a visible mark in the UFC

Justin was having some real success with those leg kicks. He’s so easily baited into fire fights and scrambles though.

Khabib ain’t the guy for that because he can do what he does well into the 5th round.

What a career. Seemed injury prone/undisciplined with his weight at one point to become the dominant force he became. Gotta clap for him
Yup, if he woulda timed those kicks better and maintained distance. He could have stretched it out a couple rounds and left Khabib vulnerable and desperate for a takedown. That’s when he could have really worked his gameplan
