Jones vs. Cormier at HW would be a terrible fight. DC would ragdoll him.

DC has ragdolled natural heavyweight fighters that outweigh Jones by 20-30 lbs. If Jones did manage to pull it off, then he would be the undisputed greatest fighter of all time imo.

:russ: guy said ragdoll. Thecoli is endless comedy!

Jon going to make him dip then dip lower then hit a BUMBACLOT kick Pon DC Temple again

Jon, unlike some of the fans posting in this thread isn't an idiot. He knows fighting Cormier at HW is an obstacle that he isn't prepared to tackle.

“Nah, no,” Jones said matter-of-factly when asked about the potential matchup. “He looks good at heavyweight. He’s designed to be a heavyweight. He’s comfortable there. He naturally goes to heavyweight between every fight. That is his spot, and like I said, he makes a great heavyweight champion. Even before fighting me, he was on a tear at heavyweight. That’s his zone. I have no reason to challenge him at heavyweight, because for me it’s not personal.

Jon Jones says he’ll never fight Daniel Cormier at heavyweight: ‘That’s his zone’

That's a direct quote from Jon Jones, yet some of these lunatics seem to think he is going to dominate Cormier while being outweighed by 20+ lbs. :what:

Velasquez has been finished twice at HW. Daniel Cormier has never lost at HW.

The only reason Cormier went down to LHW in the first place is that he didn't want to compete against Cain, who is a good friend and teammate of his.

Even Jon Jones said himself that he wouldn't fight Cormier at HW, yet these rampant fanboys would have you believe Jones beats Cormier easily. One of these lunatics even said it would even be an easier fight for Jones than at LHW. :mjlol:

No.... I know or knew all that.....

But just curious from your perspective of both fighters.

DC said himself that he things Cain is the best HW and in the past hinted that he think Cain would beat him as per their sparring session Cain gives him major problems.

I saw that quote JJ made.

I was just saying he should fight him at HW cuz it would be a "house money" type fight.

If he beats DC, he closes out his career and rivalry on some Tito Ortiz vs Shamrock shyt and takes his belt to be the next "Champ Champ".

But if he loses at HW, it does NOTHING to his LHW career or championship or legacy and the end of the day he's just 2-1 vs him on some :manny: shyt

DC relinquished his belt so why go back for it after that little "tweet" he sent. If he really cared all that much about it... he shouldve never done that. Talked to Dana about NOT stripping his title and let JJ be on some "Interim champ" shyt like they did before or like how it was with a few other champ vs interim champ matches in the past.

DC shouldnt go down and Jon should just swing for the fences

Jesus christ Gus's leg is still so messed up he can barely get up outta his seat at the post fight presser. Respect for taking the loss like a man when he had an excuse not to; Jones is whipping these boys so soundly he can pop for PEDs and have the whole event moved on some cover up shyt a week before the fight and his opponents still can't even muster any hate for him afterwards after getting shut down so dominantly :picard:

He did say that but he also said he would or wanted to Fight Brock if that fight was possible...... Brock who even though not as great of a wrestler as DC.....

But is MUCH stronger and MUCH bigger than DC and possibly quicker.

Thats what makes the DC vs Brock an interesting fight.... cuz would DC at will be able to toss him around (ragdoll) like he did them other 260lbs guys in the past?

I think if the money and circumstances are right.... JJ would fight

Okay, there's being strong and there's being an Olympic-level wrestler. Brock would not be able to outwrestle Cormier despite the strength and size advantage.

As for Jones vs. Lesnar, he's picking the big money fight against someone he thinks he could beat because he has the superior skill. He knows he has no shot against Cormier at HW - there's a difference.

This was my post on a potential Jones v Lesnar fight from a previous thread:

It depends on what type of shape Lesnar is in. At the end of the day he is a 40 year old guy who would be up against one of the greatest combat fighters of all time who is still only 30 years old.

Jon Jones is the much smaller fighter, but he has tremendous reach and can hit you from across the ring. We also know that two of the fights Lesnar has lost have been to two excellent strikers in Overeem and Cain Velasquez. Jon Jones (or at least Jon Jones at his best) is at least equal or a better striker than Overeem. Brock wasn't able to manhandle Overeem either because they were nearly the same size at weigh in. I think if Jones would come in at say 220 lbs like a Randy Couture, he would probably get overpowered. If he came in at say 240 lbs, he might be tougher to submit, but he would lose a lot of his speed. I'd say the fight could go either way. It will never happen though.

I still maintain the fight would go either way, but ultimately Jones would probably win via decision by fighting from the outside and being light on his feet. I think he wins, but looks battered afterwards, even worse than his first fight against Gustafsson.
