What happened to Lawler's jab and feints? dude seemed like he was shook of Woodley's power, he was backing up for a good bit of that first round.
I think he was shook of his quickness

He was facing a better athlete today

Woodley vs Wonderboy will be an intriguing fight. Wonderboy does a great job with keeping distance and avoiding getting hit. I expect him to use his kicks to keep Woodley on the outside, but if Woodley can blitz and get in with strikes :wow:

Like I said he was way too patient. He should've definitely been wary of Tyron's power, but not so much he that didn't attack.

I see Wonderboy doing exactly what Robbie did and hanging back being too patient. Woodley can knock him out just as easily as he did Robbie if he doesn't come out attacking.

Wonderboy would probably be pumping out the sidekick as a jab at least but yea he can be too patient at times waiting to counter on some Silva shyt.

I think that break and his cut for an early weigh in really paid off. I'm not going to comment on Woodley's cardio, he looked his best tonight. I doubt he will be able to pull off a successful title defense against one of the decision gods though.

lol @ Woodley telling Wonderboy in the postfight he wants a money fight and would rather fight Nick Diaz in a title defense, GTFO

Not really...He was beat by Matt Brown and the Rory fight did not impress me...

The few shots that Rory landed rocked him...If he catches one of Woodley's bombs, he is getting tuck in for the night...

He is going to do that "fencing" thing and try to win by points...Get in with a punch, and then quickly move out...Defend the take down, and game plan for a judges' decision...

:francis:

I don't remember Rory rocking him. Rory is an elite WW and Wonderboy took a clear W over him. He absolutely neutralized Rory's game.

The Brown fight was over 4 years ago. Wonderboy has improved in leaps and bounds since then.

Styles make fights and MMATH does not work 99% of the time. Woodley lost to Rory only a couple of fights back, fyi. Anyway, I'm not saying that Thompson will win but it will definitely be interesting.

I like Woodley, but come on :dwillhuh: Wonderboy is easily the most deserving contender.

that little feint got him :whew:

Just a gut feeling, breh. Lawler was beginning to feel himself a little too much with all the scary faces and quotes. shyt like that always happens when a fighter begins to buy into his own hype.

i dunno about all that robbie slander breh :martin:

lawler's been through fukking wars, gotten hit with bombs, caught the beats so many times (while giving it out too, to be fair) but still managed to bite down and out-gut and out-brawl guys. he's come back from a dead career to defending the ufc belt in spectacular fashion multiple times. if he has an ego, i think he's earned it.

so with that said, calling THAT dude to get ko'ed in the first and getting it right? :salute:
