The same place it comes from now...taxes.

Where is this not working thing you keep spouting coming from?

The less people working , the less tax revenue earned

This is the reason why Germany had the open door policy for refugees, there are not enough people working to support the economy

something about a driverless car is just  to me

some shyt where the car GPS's you off a fukkin bridge or somethin

Not really related to this thread. But def to this post, Malcolm Gladwell had an awesome podcast episode on the whole Lexus/Toyota "stuck accelerator" recalls

Turns out it might've just been drivers being unfamiliar with the cars and simply not taking their foot off the gas

People said this a generation ago, and then all of the young white men voted for Trump in the election. :mjpls:

I meant the white population as a whole. They ain't having kids like that anymore. In another 30 years, they will make up less than 25% of America's population.

They spend a lot in promotion/marketing, expanding into new markets, buying off politicians, testing self driving cars and trying to demolish competitors. Their investors probably don't care yet. Amazon was around for several years before it ever turned a profit. As long as you're the last man standing, the early years don't matter as much.

I don't know. I think there will be huge pushback from the public on two fronts: people complaining about losing jobs to automation, and those just not willing to ride in a self driving car. While I'm sure it's 100% safer, many people still wouldn't be comfortable with the idea. Also, I think these types of cars should go the consumer route first and then introduce it to the public as a public trans option.

More people are becoming aware of technology's encroachment on the middle and lower classes. While it's menial jobs today, tomorrow it's the engineers and the lawyers. Everyone thinks their job is safe but no ones is. People are realizing this and pushing back. These types or things won't happen en masse until some major concessions are made with the way our economy and work life are. Or there will be a revolt. I think...lol.

I'm surprised they lost so much honestly. Disappointing they didn't say why. I want to know lol.

Yall need to stop with this the sky is falling stupidity. Engineers and lawyers aren't gonna be replaced by anything short of a massive leap in neural nets and AI tech. Our modern supercomputers still have problems with quick image recognition and defining cognition and you think theyll be able to even solve engineering problems?

Yall just like saying anything.

Imagine how many people are going to be doing hella extra curricular shiit in these whips.

I'ma be beating off in it out of principle.
drug mulling/smuggling. I've heard police are biased for cars with uber stickers (as in they don't stop them as frequently as others)

Here in Chicago Uber will lease you the car. I believe my cousin pays 700/mo (i know) and can use the car however he pleases as long as he works his schedule. He claims to make about 1000/wk .
My homie was just literally telling me his uber driver was telling him this.
