Actually, you have this in reverse. First they came for Black Americans, and everyone remained silent and were fine with it. Now they are coming for the rest of them. Black Americans are always first on the list, we are always the canary in the coal mine that people can either heed the warning or ignore it until it finally bites them in the arse.

Keep in mind, out of all of the ethnicites who could have stopped this from happening, the one ethnicity who did try to stop it the most, were Black Americans. So this idea they will come for us next is false, because they are always coming for us first.

This is an interesting point that I've been thinking about since you posted it, but then I have to ask where that leaves us specifically. They come for us first and come for us persistently, and other demographics don't give a shyt. Then they make power grabs by going after other targets and winning support there, but we know they'll use that newfound power on us like a bludgeon as well.

So what are we supposed to do? Invest in the wellbeing of others regardless, and accept we're just at a losing position because of pervasive Anti-Blackness?

To be fair most people by and large do not care let alone think about politics to that extent

That goes for everybody from black to cac, rich and poor

even with it being topic fodder on the social medias

To put in perspective, when you consider the overall population of the Civil Rights movement (Using the March on Washington as example)

That was around 250,000 out of 189,000,000

That's about 0.00013% of the then US population

What that number is now, who knows

So I can't speak for anybody how they should feel personally

But anybody thinking shyt can't get any worse or that the process of continued subjugation of an oppressed people doesn't result in mass causalities

Might wanna brush up on history. Cause shyt can always get worse.

We recognize our precarious circumstances and work to make deals and give aid, with an understanding of how it helps us in the end. What I consider our problem is that we give aid, while not expecting any receprosity from any other group. We are ready to run out, be the face of the movement, and carry it on our backs. The rest only seek to benefit from our efforts, only focused on their own betterment. Many times they could not care any less about the outcomes we experience, even if we were the ones who helped them get to where they are.

So, to repeat. We must be far more strategic with the use of our resource when it comes to helping others, and we must not allow them to receive that help without us having some leverage over them. That is pretty much how every other ethnicity works. The help comes with strings that are there to make sure that help also aids the help giver. We have not done that. We have allowed ourselves to be mules for other people's issues, while many of our issues remain fallow and stagnant.

We have to focus our actions on our issues first. Our support for policies based on how those policies affect us. Not allow ourselves to be bamboozled into supporting the issues of others, receiving nothing in return.

This is testing for citizens. We're watching the gulags be set up in plain sight. El Salvador never made any distinction in who it would accept once the money is right.
