TYRONE GA!
lol uh yea shanene is corny as fukk too i always liked jerome and the mechanic

atleast shanene wasnt tryna preach the bible n shyt tho

Still a nikka in drag bruh...if you don't like Tyler just say so and keep it moving. nikkaz who shyt on him for being in drag but loved Martin need to pump their brakes.

Like I said, his movies have potential if he gets good writing, but the screenplays are so terrible and predictable.... :snoop:

I do respec the fact he's giving us jobs, giving back to our communities, etc. I just wish his art was better.

It's the God stuff that he injects into it all that bothers me the most. I know a lot of black folk are religious but come on, sometimes making it a major plot point is bothersome.

And instead of complaining about Tyler Perry, a lot of dudes could encourage, or themselves become, independent filmmakers. Not trying to make films for just their people but to make films in general. But if you want to make films just for black people, I don't even see how that's possible if the film is actually something worth watching, then you could but make it something compelling.

Give me a movie about an interracial couple where their races aren't a plot point. Or an actual good one where their races are the main plot point. Or a movie that tackles black issues elegantly.

A movie, directed by a black director, with a black cast and an actual storyline that doesn't cater to stereotypes or has a woman who needs a savior. I guess that's why people mostly get mad at Tyler. Cause he's not making those movies. I don't see why anyone expects him to at this point. He could mature as a director.

Although, I'm pretty sure as soon as he steps out of his box, he will be clowned. He did his acting thing with Alex Cross and stepped out of the box (for him) and people made fun of it. I know I sure did but that was mostly cause of the hair.

The 215
and whose fault is that? so what is he suppose to do?, stop making films so hollywood can make black movies? man think about what your saying. I agree that there needs to be more black directors. but what I look like sh!tting on pretty much the only one we got :rudy:

black people always have hate in there hearts smh
Nah man you know that's not true they only have hate in their hearts for they own. When its white folks they love the shyt they put out. Like I say about Tariq, Floyd, TP, or any other black person its so disgusting how haterific we are towards are own while praising others. You would think on this site where c00n is used so freely it wouldn't be like that but on here all c00n means is acting like blacks are one big fukking monolith that can't have some that act silly, stupid, hood, whatever negative stereotype you want to put out there cause white (and other races of) people are going to think thats how we all act. That in itself shows you how sad many blacks are fukking sad.

He makes trash movies that reinforce stereotypes, but Hollywood won't free light a black film unless it caters to a certain audience. We do that to ourselves. Too many of our people love that kind of garbage and that's the problem. It's a numbers game, if he makes a film for 15 million, and it grosses 70 million at the box office with no signs of slowing down, he is a cash cow. He caters to a certain crowd, predominantly, black women. That nicca not going anywhere.

I know that. Tyler Perry is part of that machine. That's why I always say that he has the resources necessary to change black image in the eyes of the world.

he has the money but not the ability as a director

good businessman

poor director/writer

Some Madea moments where she goes at the rude ass kids are good too.

Other than that his shyt sucks. It's like pure hit and miss but most of the time he is missing but doesn't give a fukk.

You would think he could sponsor a young director/writer who has an idea. "Tyler Perry Presents" is enough alone to recoup a few million invested. Take a risk, a new idea. Red Tails was great in direction, but that writing and acting was some of the worse I've ever seen. We need to get away from the lustful, violent, ignorant, c00n, sexually charged roles.
