Naw when he might've had an argument is when dude came at him with scissors but he shot him in the back after that. Only way that can remotely be considered defense is if the father said he was going to get a gun when he started walking away. I didn't hear audio so if he didn't say that to dude, he's cooked.

Notice I said initial plans in my comment meaning that plans changed. All indications from the video and the fact that the article stated that he originally initiated the confronted by kicking in the door would lead one to believe that was original intentions. The fact that it didn’t play out that way doesn’t necessarily change that.

It’s rather weird and creepy that you’re giving the murderer the benefit of a doubt considering that he shot someone else who obviously trying to run away from the situation.
