There is only a handful of black man and woman on that list and it will stay that way and it's not because we are not trying... Key thing is being relatable to your audience and most of the consumers of stream are white people kids and adults.
Part of this lies in the lap of black people as well

Black creators need to curate and promote Twitch to its viewership

A big problem is too many black creators either don't know about, or feel like they're above using Twitch. I've seen YouTube's and podcasters reaction to moving to Twitch and so many times it's :scust: like many of the replies in this thread

Twitch is largely a place where nikkas section off into their own shyt and don't care about much else besides that

Black creators gotta cultivate an audience or leverage the audience they already have into using the platform

Akadrmics has laid out the blie print.

If kevin samuels had sense he would be simulcasting on youtube, twitch and parker.

All streams ate revenue streams to be exploited.

Hell he could do live broadcasts on twitch package thag shyt up and post on youtube and get revenue off those views for work he already did on twitch.

Black folks still shyt on and sleep on Twitch when nikkas over there Thanksgiving feasting
Some of the young Black streamers getting numbers tho and their crowd is almost all Black too

Now ofc it's going to be less because there are less Black people, but they're making good money off of it

How do people have enough money to donate to streamers? Must be a white thing because i don't see any black streamers in the top 5 of any game.

Kids are giving their pocket money to these dudes or stealing their parent's credit cards and adults are giving their own money.

Can you imagine giving money to some weirdo just to watch him play a dumb ass game. :mjlol::wow:

This shyt is digital heroin.

It's not black peoples' fault. Black people on that platform but the platform gives no service to them. the highest grass roots black streamer maybe get 500 people watching on a good day, when they get placed front page, 3/10x as much access.

They struggle like crazy to get partnered I believe
:unimpressed: I tried to tell those two, black people are trying it's like the tech industry it's hard for us to get into streaming because most of the views can't relate to us... And the ones they listed build their following on other platforms before moving to twitch.

Most of the black streamers I know about are in the fighting game community and unfortunately they don't stream that often. There's one brother that I know named TasteySteve, he the hype Bruh in the White Power Ranger in the hood video on YouTube. I think he's funny af and genuinely a good dude but he doesn't stream much:francis:

It's hard as a black man or woman to get into the streaming game.. most of the popular ones were either around from the early days or are on some :mjpls: shyt... You earn your money from cacs kids and males and most of them can't relate to a black man like they can to someone that is their color.
You could always c00n like some KSI character :mjpls:

Yes it is, you have to promote your shyt.
That means going on other people's platforms to get your name out, to people outside of your current audience.
If you want fame and attention you have to put just as much work into that as into the product itself.
