Most of the black streamers I know about are in the fighting game community and unfortunately they don't stream that often. There's one brother that I know named TasteySteve, he the hype Bruh in the White Power Ranger in the hood video on YouTube. I think he's funny af and genuinely a good dude but he doesn't stream much:francis:
Punk, Smug, and KizzieKay stream regularly. I don't know why Tasty doesn't as much because people love him

Kbrad streams regularly too and his shyt is:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

:unimpressed: I tried to tell those two, black people are trying it's like the tech industry it's hard for us to get into streaming because most of the views can't relate to us... And the ones they listed build their following on other platforms before moving to twitch.
Stop it, Marcus Brownlee is the biggest tech streammer on youtube.

Just be entertaining and push your product.
Rich Rebuilds is one of the bigger auto guys on youtube. Up there with Hoove, doug demero all he did was be himself.
This notion that being black means only black people can relate to you is absurd on its face.

I knew someone who streamed(and was semi succesful), and he basically said it's better for black people to stream on facebook than twitch, since there is more of us there. Plus lets face it, twitch does have a huge race issue and if you don't have thick skin you not going to make it.

Folks forget that streaming goes beyond "gaming" and it can be a big pain in the ass.

  • Gaming communities are fickle (you either got to play the flavor of the month game or not eat good)
  • Toxic gamers(doxxers, hackers, swatters, etc)
  • You got to double up on your content as you could be flavor of the month.
  • Twitch is a bytch to deal with (bans for bullshyt, different rules, regulations, etc)
I don't blame folks for not going in too deep with this streaming shyt, especially with how gamers are to this very day:mjpls:

This world is a complete joke.
Talentless scumbag attention whores and litteral whores getting rich doing nothing all thanks to the advances of technology and how pathetic people have become to support them.

Meanwhile teachers cant get a decent wage..
Damn this take is dumb af. Streamers are entertainers, and people like to be entertained. So people support those that entertain them. It's not that hard to grasp really :francis:

You just probably sit there and see people sitting down playing video games all day. That is not where the money comes from. There money comes from mainly the sense of creating a community of people who just likes the person personality, and the content that they put out.

It's literally no different from @Brooklynzson creating this website we all enjoy.:yeshrug:

HasanAbi is a grade A dikkhead.

He made $2M from August 2019 to October 2021, just bought a house in LA for that amount, and has the nerve to tell landlords to "get a real job." :stopitslime:

to be fair, buying a house to live in and buying a property to use as your sole source of income is different.

This amazing, making millions playing video games.

Question

What do folks get from watching these people play games?
I’m not going to front I’ve watched madden streamers and learned to have a small amount of respect for madden. But even more respect for the streamers who incorporate real life football concepts into their shyt.

i also watch mortal combat and street fighter tournaments.

and mixed martial arts streamers heavy too that’s what I’m getting into myself

They struggle like crazy to get partnered I believe

It's really tough to break the 25 view thresh-hold and very tough to get 75 consistent views for 20-30 days straight (one of requirements to get partnered). Not 75 people hosted up, but raw eyes. but due to twitches lack of promotion, a lot of black people even at partner get hard stuck in hundreds. A lot of these people on this list are legacies from the previous site or have fame outside the platform are able to translate it well to the site. And even then, there are famous people who do not get over 1K.

I wouldn’t understand donating $5/month to my favorite rapper either. Just to listen to him tell me how rich he is and to shyt on my brokenness? :gucci:

It’s funny, cuz what you described is the principle behind OnlyFans. It’s no wonder that went porn instead of real celebs. Cuz most people can’t justify “donating” to already rich people. The wealth of gamers has eluded the average person so I could see folks donating to their favorite gamer so they could afford to keep giving them content, tho.

Kids are giving their pocket money to these dudes or stealing their parent's credit cards and adults are giving their own money.

Can you imagine giving money to some weirdo just to watch him play a dumb ass game. :mjlol::wow:

This shyt is digital heroin.

I don't get it either. :wow:
