Been watching early 2001 WWF over the last couple weeks or so. In early 2020, did Vince heavily promote the new XFL comeback on WWE programming like he did with the original XFL launch back in early 2001?

Flair’s alcohol problem is sad. Looking back at these old Nitros, dude was obviously drunk while performing, or one of those people who is so much of an alcoholic that they always act drunk even when they’re not.

I don't think he was ever drunk while performing in WCW. Hungover, sure. It wasn't until his post retirement WWE and TNA runs that he was actually loaded on TV.

He was such an alcoholic that if he wasn’t drunk performing, that was probably the only time he wasn’t drunk. You see that ESPN doc? He said he drank something like a 12 pack everyday and 7 martinis every night.

When people drink that much they act drunk all the time even when they’re not. That explains about every Nitro promo he did.

Oh for sure I just don't think he had moved on to actually being loaded while on screen until after 2008.

Is it just me or did anyone else think ryback was best as a face compared to his goofy ass run as a heel

There were a few Nitros in late 98 that I guarantee he was on Coke or Meth for (probably coke). His eyes make it obvious

Something clicked with HHH in '99. Dude went from boring "snob", to a corny/unfunny juvenile "degenerate" who was consistently outshined by Road Dogg on the mic, to an actual entertaining, serious heel overnight. Probably helped that he got a massive push, but he delivered wasn't out of his depth when he got that rocket strapped to his back. :ehh:

Poor Jeff Jarrett. He was always a good worker, but he wanted to get over so bad in WCW but everybody was just like :unimpressed:

His booking was shyt though. He came as a man without a country in those ugly ass tassles and that confederate picnic soundtrack-sounding bluegrass banjo theme music all thirsty trying to join the horsemen.

He’s a natural heel, but they tried to make him a face. One Nitro Flair came out to the ring with him and they strutted side by side. Flair was super-over, the crowd was cheering everything he said. Then he said as leader of the horsemen he’s cosigning JJ and that was the quietist response to anything he said :russ:Once Sting gave him that scorpion death drop it was a rap for him.

Alex Wright used to take an L every Monday night. Dude was supposed to be a young up-and-comer in 95. Then Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, Ultimo, Malenko and them came along he was now a jobber.

Wright, Bagwell, Regal, Johnny B. Badd, and Sgt. Craig Pittman were the Saturday Night gawds.

Is it safe to say that Triple H was the best attitude era Heel?
