In the late 80s and early 90s? They cared. Even had legendary women tag Champs like Jumping Bomb Angels.Every match the Ultimo Dragon was involved in on Nitro was good. Dude was low-key one of the best workers out there in the 90’s.
The whole Hitman-Austin feud culminating in the double turn was executed perfectly from start to finish.
Owen Hart was guaranteed chuckles whenever he put on the headset. He was a better color commentator than he was a promo guy. I think he could’ve had a future with it full time (RIP).
Sid was alwaysto me and I never understood his WWE crowd bumps.
WWF didn’t give 2 fukks about their tag team division before the NAOs, E&C, Hardys, Dudleyz, Acolytes era. The only tag teams they had worth a damn were Owen/Bulldog and the Smoking Gunns. Owen/Bulldog were more solo wrestlers they put in a tag team. The Smoking Gunns basically fought them and no one else good so they never really had an identity cause no one put them over after their first surprise title one. WCW on the other hand was pushing their tag team scene heavy at the time with Sting/Luger, Harlem Heat, Steiners, Road Warriors, Faces of Fear and Outsiders and they often were main event matches.
The Rougeaus, Hart Foundation, Demolition, Killer Bees, Young Stallions, Islanders..thats why Survivor Series..the first one should be the #1 thing around here for a Watch party.

Smh Savage stayed getting sonned in WCW. Even when he was champ he was booked weak as fukk.

Ric Flair beat up his old ass dad and put him in the figure four.
He won the world title in a controversial WW3 finish and Hoegan basically told him he didn’t deserve to be champ the next night on Nitro. Then he got sonned by the Giant and horsemen the next several weeks. Luger beat him 4 times in a row. On one episode Giant just walked out and choke slammed his ass on the ground while he was doing a promo then just kept walking to the ring to beat up Hoegan like Savage was just a lil dude and he was champ.
He brought out Liz, Woman and some other old thots only to have them leave him for Flair. Flair took his bytch and was eating 5 star cheffed meals and drinking Dom P ringside with Liz’ half of his money. He was so mad he had to be seen by a psychiatrist.
He was always taking a beating riding for Hoegan then Hoegan started the NWO and sonned him every week. Kidnapped Liz and had her in a hotel like the NWO was about to gangbang her. Came on Nitro and suggested he was going to kill himself.
Then what does he do?
Join Hoegan and the NWO.
