It's fascinating at how shytty and lazy Jericho's Undisputed run was both in his personal booking but the booking of the title itself is compared to how much thought and planning was put into the brief period of when the Undisputed Champion was working across both brands.
Jericho's run is the standard "feud with this guy for a month, drop it after the match, feud with the next guy" run. The April-August run has the champ running feuds on two shows where the secondary challenger is set up a month or more in advance, as well as doing mini feuds with lower card guys on each show. And due to the nature of the main challenger alternating brands each month, there weren't automatic rematches and therefore there was a running theme of the former champ and next contender having number one contender matches and former champs getting their return matches not against the guy they lost the title to, but the guy who beat the guy that beat them.
Really wish they could have kept up the single champion touring both brands deal for longer because there was so much more thought and effort and planning to set challengers up a month or two in advance and the champion going to both brands really felt like a real touring champion in a way that has never been replicated in WWE since.
