Rock vs Triple H, strap match @ Fully Loaded 99

"They didn't keep you down for five years cause you wanted to say goodbye to your roody-poo friends at the Garden, they kept you down cause you absolutely suck" :mjlol:

Ppl talk about Rock vs Austin but Rock vs Triple H is a GOAT tier feud; Great matches, great promos, and they really held it down while Austin was hurt and WCW went to total shyt

I cannot believe WCW has Hoegan in the red and yellow as the champ defending his title with a clean win over Nash in August of 1999. :mjlol:

The sight of him at 50 years old doing the hand to the ear thing for a mildly interested sea of trailer trash on Harleys in South Dakota is just horrid. Was WCW just tanking it on purpose at this point?

I was just watching this a few weeks ago. They waited basically a whole ass year to finally give people Nash vs Hogan one on one. And I imagine by the summer of 99 and after the FPOD people didn't give a fukk about Nash vs Hogan.

Souled OUT, 2000

Stevie Ray vs Booker T is a great match.

I watched this today nice match, but the vibe of the ppv seemed weird. :mjlol: at Nash vs Terry Funk in 2000.

Tony Schiavone had the nerve to say this was Hoegan’s best title reign ever after he beat Nash. :mjlol:

Why in late 99 to early 2000 they got kind of a love story thing going on between jericho and chyna? Nobody remembered when he tied her to a chair and smashed her thumb with a hammer?

They really tried to push red and yellow hogan to the max in August 1999 meanwhile nobody gave a fukk. Even having sting being Hogans friend as if they werent enemies for the last 3 years:mjlol:
. Then he slowly disappeared in september and didnt show his face until march 2000 after he flopped:laff:

People did give a shyt though, the return of red and yellow Hogan got bigger reactions than anything else that was going on in WCW at the time. Probably because most of it coincided with running a series of show in the North East.

That shyt lasted about a month. Notice he wasn’t rocking that shyt when he came back again :mjlol:

I wouldn’t know cause as soon as I saw Hoegan coming out in the red and yellow acting like a face again I immediately changed to Raw and barely turned to Nitro again for a long time after that.

I think that period of time in 99 between the fingerpoke of doom and Russo’s arrival is probably the least I ever watched Nitro. I’m revisiting the PPVs from that era now and a lot of it is new to me.

I can’t believe they went full circle and retread basically the same main event angle they did at the advent of Nitro 4 years prior: face Sting vs. face Hoegan with tension about trusting Sting’s friend Luger smh. They were literally trying to recreate the past.
