Triple H goes over Mick Jan 2000 at the royal rumble, then again the next month at No Way Out 2000, this (and the collapse of WCW) is when my interest in wrestling started to decline. By 2001 I was pretty much a goner.

Watching the street fight at MSG, it just didn't work, the arena is too tight and there's not enough space to create a "street fight" atmosphere.

Triple H goes over Mick Jan 2000 at the royal rumble, then again the next month at No Way Out 2000, this (and the collapse of WCW) is when my interest in wrestling started to decline. By 2001 I was pretty much a goner.

Blame it on mick not deciding on when to retire, he should've been gone after the rumble as it was originally planned.

And why the fukk were they pushing the big show around this time? Ruined The main event for WM 2000

Me too. I went from an every Monday night devotee since 95 to rarely watching at all by about 2001. I wonder how many other people quit around the same time.

Even though WCW was mostly garbage for about it’s last 2 years not having that competition and alternative just made it boring. Even at the height of the attitude era there was still a lot of stupid Russo/crash tv shyt and other dumb shyt like Al Snow and head I didn’t like and I would change to Nitro to see if they had something better on.

Big Show as a champ in 2000 was a total joke. It didn’t even feel like a push cause it didn’t even feel like he was champion.

He was beefing with the Big Man and it seemed like a midcard angle even though Show had the belt.

I cannot believe WCW has Hoegan in the red and yellow as the champ defending his title with a clean win over Nash in August of 1999.

The sight of him at 50 years old doing the hand to the ear thing for a mildly interested sea of trailer trash on Harleys in South Dakota is just horrid. Was WCW just tanking it on purpose at this point?
