Let's return to ECW. In the month after Paul Heyman screwed RVD and hand delivered the championship to Big Show:
Show has decided he's the greatest champion of all time and challenges future hall of famers from both brands to matches weekly
First he kills Ric Flair:
Then he faces the Brothers of Destruction in consecutive weeks:
Then Batista in a hilarious match at the Hammerstein Ball Room that of course the crowd shyt on even worse than they did John Cena about a month and a half prior. Meanwhile, Sabu has been repeatedly asking for a match against Show, but Paul won't give it to him, so he's begun taking matters into his own hands.
After screwing RVD, Paul Heyman began coming out with riot police and speaking almost exclusively in religious terms, essentially comparing himself to Moses/Jesus/Ghandi/Mohammed every week. Tommy Dreamer repeatedly tried to confront him, leading to Paul going out of his way to fukk Tommy over, often using his guards or Test to deliver beat downs. At the same time, Sandman beating up gimmicks and the Mike Knox covering up Kelly Kelly angles intersected, which got turned into Knox/Test vs Dreamer/Sandman, with Heyman again going out of his way to fukk over the ECW Originals.
Some nerd named CM Punk made his debut and I guess some people paid to see him or something?
The vampire that was following the shows from week to week debuted as a wrestler somehow, and the tarot card reader with giant cans? She's with him. And implied that they were legitimate 1000 year old vampires.
Kurt Angle randomly missed 3 weeks, Sabu somehow didn't get suspended with RVD and is the only ECW Original booked strong at all, although when he had a match with Kurt, it was 15 minutes of Kurt completely running through him. And then RVD popped back up OUTTA NOWHERE to ruin the finish, setting up a ladder match between RVD and Sabu. In 2006.
Also, RENE fukkING DUPREE has joined the brand, along with seemingly never ending vignettes of The Reject Shannon Moore in full gear and make up staring at things, as well as Balls Mahoney introducing himself to the ECW audience every week.
So, to recap: Paul Heyman is feuding with all of the ECW Originals, having them beaten up at random just because. Dreamer/Sandman have been defeated by Test/Knox in various forms for 4 weeks. Originals like Justin Credible, Al Snow, and Guido are full on jobbers. The main events have featured Big Show vs Ric Flair/Kane/Taker/Batista and somehow Big Show embodies the ECW spirit more than anyone else on the roster. Sabu is the only guy from ECW pushed well, although they also have him cutting promos every other week. There's also a wrestling vampire and Rene Dupree. And Great Khali showed up one ep.
