According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an incident that occurred leading into NXT Takeover: R Evolution between Kevin Owens, Triple H and Bill DeMott caused some jealousy toward Owens backstage. DeMott was the agent for Owens’ match against CJ Parker and Owens went over his head in regard to a conflict around how the match was booked.

According to the report, DeMott didn’t like the idea of Owens, the big guy, doing a flip dive or that there were so many moves in the opening match. Owens complained to Triple H and the Game told DeMott to let Owens do what he likes. This caused some hard feelings among other talent, as the impression is that the Triple H’s pet talents are allowed to do whatever they like while the rest are micro-managed and not allowed to work the indie style matches that get over with the NXT crowd.

John Cena recently sat down with USA Today to promote his part in the Flintstones/WWE crossover, and apparently, the dude just assumed only kids would be reading because he outright admitted WWE programming is baby entertainment even he wouldn’t watch. Here’s Cena’s response to a question about older fans not liking garishly colored heroic personas.

“I totally get it. I don’t necessarily spend my time watching programs that 6- to 10-year-old kids enjoy, so I get the need for different racy comedy and story lines. But at the same time I don’t want to offend anyone in our audience so I do what I do to the best of my ability.”

Hey, Cena, buddy, you do realize 6 to 10-year-olds have no money, and your big houses and cars were paid for by adult fans, right? Just checking.

Cena also spoke about his face turn and subsequent kid pandering, and how it was totally all his idea…

“I looked around and saw who was sitting in the audience and said, ‘You know what, I proactively need to change.’ And it was for the greater good.”

So, does Cena have an issue with being the star of a show he wouldn’t want to watch? No, of course not. Because darnit, being a real-life superhero warms his big ol’ mushy heart…

“I actually really enjoy being able to be a real-life superhero and an aspirational character both in live entertainment and animation films like Flintstones. It gives you a feeling of self-worth at the end of the day. It becomes more than just a job — you feel as if you’re affecting lives and that truly is pretty important.”

Yup, be like aspirational John Cena, kids. He’s affecting lives! Uh, by almost ending them?

Briscoes possibly getting another crack at wwe :ohhh:

Owens is known as a family man, and for years he plugged away working hard for his family. However, the travel of the WWE would keep him from his family for long periods of time. The Briscoes knew this as well, which is why when they weren’t signed it seemed that they considered it a good thing as it allowed for more family time. However, they are 30 and 31 respectively and Owens is now with WWE himself. The time is now or never to work for WWE for the Briscoes. They may not have long before they have to call it quits, so they obviously need to try with WWE before they end their careers.

In a new interview conducted for Bell 2 Bell, Shawn Michaels had the following to say about nearly signing with WCW in the late nineties:

“There were certainly times that I wanted to, but I was still under contract. Hall and Nash were different, they gave their notice and weren’t in breech of contract when they went over, that’s how they were allowed to go. Years later, when my contract was up, however, I did consider it, and thought about it, but it was after the back injury, so I wouldn’t have been much use to them anyway. But I decided to stay, and it’s safe to say, I wouldn’t be chatting to you today if I had indeed went over.”
