Jeff Hardy, who will return to TNA as Willow, is featured on the PPV poster for TNA Sacrifice. The show will be a live PPV on April 27.

-- Kurt Angle reportedly told several people at Saturday's Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio that he will be returning to WWE in September. His currentTNA deal expires in September. If there isn't a no-compete clause in his contract, he would be able to go back right away. Angle has been open recently about the idea of returning to WWE and finishing his career there. He's also talked about who he wants to fight if he goes back. The issue is - he may not be able to pass a WWE physical.

Neither WWE nor TNA have commented on this news, so take it as a rumor for now.

- For what it's worth, it's said within WWE that current plans have John Cena and Daniel Bryan being pushed as the #1 and #2 guys in the company after WrestleMania XXX, now that CM Punk is gone. No word yet if this means Bryan is winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

This past Wednesday, Eugene Otto "Buck" Zumhofe was convicted on twelve counts of criminal sexual conduct for violently sexually abusing his daughter over the course of twelve years, starting when she was 15 years-old. She alleges there were approximately 1,800 acts of abuse. After the verdict was read, he panicked, asked to use the restroom, and tried to flee the courthouse before being tackled by law enforcement officers. He will be sentenced on May 2nd with prosecutors seeking an especially long sentence due to the "particular cruelty" of his crimes.

It's one of the most awful stories in pro wrestling history. Not just because of what he did, but what others didn't do.

When Zumhofe was arrested, the prosecutor was completely disgusted by the inaction from people in the Minnesota wrestling community. There were a number of things that people either suspected or outright saw and never reported. Witness after witness testified to what they saw and never acted on. One even said that Zumhofe and his daughter lived as if they were husband and wife. The witnesses only came forward after the survivor did because it's pro wrestling and you don't tell. Why, because...kayfabe?

It goes without saying, but if this doesn't teach us that wrestling's culture of complete and utter secrecy needs to be dead, I don't know what does. It's not what it once was, but it's still too much. Hopefully this will change as older wrestlers retire, and younger wrestlers with less of a rabid dedication to what they feel "kayfabe" means take over. I'm not sure how optimistic to be about this: Zumhofe was pretty much the sole older wrestler who was a regular in his independent promotion, so theoretically a whole hell of a lot of the people who knew weren't quite as indoctrinated, so to speak.

It's even worse when you consider that Zumhofe had a history with young girls, including arrests in 1986 and 1989 that were well known in wrestling. His most high profile run outside of the AWA ended when he was found with an underage girl. When you combine that with what people in wrestling witnessed with their own two eyes, I can't imagine a reasonable person not reporting anything. Even if it wasn't because of some sort of wrestler brotherhood bullshyt and people left it alone because she was an adult who had already been abused for years when people in wrestling started seeing things, that's no excuse either. I shouldn't have to explain why.

Having said all that, this doesn't just apply to pro wrestling. They were seen dancing inappropriately at a high school dance in a manner that had no possible innocent explanation, and that was never reported, either. The same goes for Holli Cogelow Ruter, a school bus driver (and now a school board member; she'd be a "mandated reporter" under Minnesota law) who saw Zumhofe grope his daughter on more than one occasion, and Jennifer Newman, a college classmate of the daughter who personally witnessed "sexual contact" between the two. Anyone who can look at the facts of this case and say that that there's not a culture that excessively normalizes rape in this country is completely full of shyt.

Are you a wrestler, announcer, or anyone else who is part of the midwest independent scene that knew or even suspected what was going on, but didn't say anything? If so, you are, in some small part, responsible for a woman being repeatedly raped by the one man she should have been able to trust. I hope you're happy that you didn't lose any bookings.
