STAMFORD, Conn. – WWE Studios and Blumhouse Productions announced today a partnership on "Incarnate," the micro-budget thriller from Blumhouse directed by Brad Peyton ("Journey 2: The Mysterious Island"), scripted by Ronnie Christensen ("Dark Tide") and starring Aaron Eckhart. WWE Superstar Mark Henry has been cast in a cameo role, and WWE Studios will leverage its extensive multi-platform reach for the film.

Jason Blum ("Paranormal Activity," "Insidious," "The Purge" and "Sinister" franchises) is producing the film for Blumhouse which is co-financing the production with IM Global. Michael Luisi, WWE Studios President, is Executive Producing alongside Couper Samuelson, Michael Seitzman, Trevor Engelson, Stuart Ford and Charles Layton. Universal Pictures will distribute the film in the U.S. and Blumhouse International is overseeing foreign rights.

"Incarnate" stars Aaron Eckhart as an unconventional exorcist who taps into the subconscious of a nine-year-old boy played by David Mazouz who is possessed by a powerful, ancient demon. The film is currently shooting.

"WWE Studios is thrilled to partner again with Blumhouse on 'Incarnate,'" said Michael Luisi, President of WWE Studios.

Jason Blum said, "WWE has a tremendous brand and we are excited to work with them on 'Incarnate.'"

Bradley Buchanan, SVP of Business Affairs, negotiated the deal on behalf of WWE Studios.

The Last of the Outlaws
- WWE's storyline with the Big Show and Triple H has been dropped. At one point, there was talk of them wrestling at the Royal Rumble, but Big Show was brought back to television early and wrestled Randy Orton at Survivor Series. Big Show has already been moved out of the Authority storyline - and competed in an unrelated 6-man tag match last night on RAW.

- The Thanksgiving episode of TNA's Impact Wrestling scored a 0.70 cable rating. This is one of the lowest Impact ratings for Thursday night airings. Thursday's show drew 921,000 viewers, the first time in years that Impact has drawn under a million viewers on Spike TV.

Heartbreaking

The fact it was purchased for so cheap with so many people who would have paid if they had known shows it was shady as fukk

WCW got fukked by AOL TimeWarner, they just wanted to get rid of it.

If it wasn't for that, they would have restructured and weathered the storm and we would probably still have a legit fed with history around today
I remember both Chris Jericho and Ric Flair both saying that if they knew how much WCW was being sold for they would have bought it... could you imagine that fukkery?

- As noted, there has been a lot of changes to WrestleMania XXX plans within the last week. Word now is that they are building to a Triple H vs. CM Punk match either leading up to WrestleMania or at the big event itself.
