I rate HHH at about a 7, mainly because of Chyna and her boosting him up from a six to a 7 and during a bigger era.

The illusion of HHH being really over is one of the prime examples of the wwe hype machine.

He always rode the coattails of other people who were hot at the time.

HHH wasn't even top 5 in popularity during the attitude era.

I can't recall many rimes where HHH was getting a pop because he's HHH.

RVD was still red hot in the wwe when the rock and Austin was still wrestling in the company.

HHH's best year was 2000, best heel in the company, cemented him as a true main eventer and had great matches with Foley, Rock, Kurt and Jericho among others

Plus he was facing dudes like Taka Michinoku in title matches on Raw, and having good back and forth matches with them

Before and after that is :manny: to me but he had a fukking phenomenal 2000 from any perspective

Just about all of the guys you just named were more over than HHH.

Having good matches doesn't equal popularity.

HHH is one of those types that's only cool or tolerable because of his association with other people.

Trips was a pure heel in 2000 though, you can't really use the popularity thing for that reason

It was only after that he decided to do the whole cool heel ish and try and get the crowd on his side, to his detriment

It worked when he was in DX and wasn't main eventing but clearly didn't work in 2003 when he was holding the title and going over everyone in his reign of Terra

Ric Flair is arguably the greatest heel of all time, but he was over because at the end of the day he's ric flair.

I can say the same thing for guys like the rock Austin, taker, jericho, mankind, etc

In hhh`s career I can't recall many times where he was over because of who he was.

I'll give him a 8. But I'd be lying if I said i didn't wanna give him a 10  one of my absolute favorites growing up. I still have his autograph that I got at a house show literally weeks after he debuted in WWF back in 01'. loved his stuff with Bam Bam, Sabu, Jerry Lynn, Austin, Eddie Guerrero and Jeff Hardy. Growing up I always looked at him as a more athletic, cooler and heterosexual version of Shawn Michaels. He's An innovator and a Legend.

*In before his lover/son/bytch*

Id give him an 8 at peak, Dude was as over as anybody in the biz in 03 and WWE fukked up yet again with having HHH eat him too.
He was as over as anybody well before that. In the summer of 01' he was over as a supposed heel. That pop when he first bebuted on Raw was NUTS.

I give him an 8 out 10 did think about giving him a 9 but 8 is good. Was a great worker, could be a bit of a spot monkey bUT it worked for him and his matches were usually can't miss TV. He oozed charisma and his character fit him to a T but he could not work the mic worth a damn. And when you think ECW, Rob is one of the guys you think of.

I wanna see one on HBK I'm very interested in seeing how the haters rate him

All of this is true, but HHH never surpassed that year or even came close to it again. He was noticeably slower and less dynamic after coming back from his quad injury. He's such a weird case because in 2000 I would legit argue he was the best in the business, but for over 15 years after that, he was such a drain... I get the divisiveness on HHH...

One of the things I like about RVD was the fact I didn't really give a fukk about if he could cut a promo or not he was cooler when he didn't have to speak dude just had an IT factor and was a beast in his prime in the ring. RVD cutting 10-15 promos would probably make me dislike him a bit.
He ain't even need that that cocky mf was dope in ECW he just knew he was the best worker on the card ...the dumbed down RVD would just say cool or whatever lol

He could actually cut a solid promo like he did at the first one night stand
