Mic work/promos
2 - trash on the mic. that's fine, not everyone can be great, but he was best with Bill Alfonso in ECW. He needed someone talking for him and he could just chime in with random one liners.
-Personality/gimmicks
9 - Great nicknames, great catch phrases, seemed cool as fukk as a kid. I remember not getting ECW as a kid but from what I heard and saw he seemed like a non fakkity version of Shawn Michaels
-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)
7 - He was an innovator as some have said, he brought stuff nobody has ever seen or done since, but he also rested on his laurels way too early into his career and stopped innovating and went to the same formula every single match.
-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)
7 - Innovator, cool character, can't deny his overness over such a long period of time. Not a top star, but didn't feel out of place with the top stars.
Now, he's a 7 in my eyes. But if we're grading on whatever sliding scale ya'll bums used to rank CM Chump an average of 8, then RVD is a got damn 10.
It's all about your own personal scale. Don't worry too much about the average overall scores.
