It definitely shouldn't have ended in 1998. It was a lazy ending and truth be told, that combined with the fingerpoint of doom pretty much is why WCW is out of the game today.

No its not, WCW was still doing big business after that shyt. AOL/Time Warner is why wcw is out the game. No one or two single booking decisions would've killed something that strong.

They were done. Rock was CRUSHING everyone in the ratings on top, ECW was barely hanging by a thread for another year, and then Austin came back by the fall of 2000 and WCW was considered unwatchable and laughable. The New Blood vs Millionaires storyline was ridiculous. Old guys trying to hold on to their old spot. It all went downhill after the Goldberg streak went away..it should of went Sting vs Goldberg at Starrcade 98 at least. A tazer? LOL!

They had no chance at that point. Then Rock was SO RED HOT so it was easy going at that point. They had no way to fight back...they took Goldberg down and without him, they were worthless. No chance to get a good footing.
