This is a perfect example of modern right wing racism. They tell you it's racist or divisive to acknowledge/notice something racist that happened, then they tell you it's racist or divisive to fix something racist that happened. It's an undeniable fact that these black farmers were ignored and discriminated against for decades. They were essentially starved out in hopes that they would lose their farms and property, at which point white people took everything. But this gets us to another part of modern right wing racism: if you ask JD Vance if previous generations of black farmers faced racism he'd say no, they just managed their farms poorly compared to white farmers. Everything is the victim's fault - he/she must have done something to justify being targeted. Yall saw Jason Whitlock say Emmitt Till probably did something to justify what happened to him - it's the same logic. This is how these people are explaining race riots, lynching, anti-black violence etc of the past: black people are violent and stupid so they must have done something to stir a response from white people.

The 1999 money of $1 billion from Clinton went solely to Black farmers.
The 2010 money of $1.25 billion from Obama went solely to Black farmers.
By 2021, the courts were so far-right conservative that they were able to block any money that mentioned payments by race at all. As a result of the courts blocking the first race-based bill in 2021, the Biden Administration rewrote the bill in 2022 so that the money would still get out there with a "discrimination" clause and 75% of it so far ($1.5 billion out of $2 billion) has gone to Black farmers. I think there is more money that may still be distributed to farmers who applied for claims late.

And it didn't pass, which meant the farmers got nothing. So the wording of the bill was adjusted so it could pass so that black farmers would get their money. Your bytch ass crying because others have an opportunity to get some too. So fukking what, the goal was to provide relief to black farmers and we got that. Good luck to white farmers trying to prove they were discriminated against and if anyone not black was discriminated against why are you against them getting what they are owed. False. The new bill said that you could only get the payments if you demonstrated that the US government had discriminated against you and thus kept you from getting loans. So for the most part the White farmers who sued still didn't get the money, though "some" white farmers might have qualified under the unlikely case that they could prove they were some discriminated-against religious minority who was refused loans for prejudiced reasons.

I posted extensively about him back in 2019. He's been fighting for this stuff all the way since the 1990s and is heavily responsible for nearly $4 billion for Black farmers along with other anti-discrimination legislation as well.
